3. We need to trade Berrios. He is an overpaid 5th starter on a good team and 3rd starter on a bad team. We need a closer.

What the hell do we do with Ricky Tiedemann????i think we need to trade Jose Berrios, he's averaging 27 homerun's given up per season for the past 4 seasons….the longball is hurting the guy, and in our division there are sooo many guys who can bang, i dont think the rogers centre has been good for his career.

5. Pitching always works itself out. I also still see Lauer starting 10+ games this year. He's not talked about enough as he provides a good Lefty starter look where needed.

8. Do the Blue Jays have to split their TV money? Teams are supposed to put 48% of their TV money into revenue sharing. But I don’t know if that is different because of the Jays being in Canada and the networks not being exclusively sports related.. For example, the Dodgers were in bankruptcy prior to being sold to the current ownership, and in that bankruptcy court, a judge ruled that the Dodgers didn’t have to pay any revenue sharing on the TV deal the first 10 years 2013-2023 of the deal wasn’t that big of a deal because the Dodgers were only getting 150 million a year. But now it is a much bigger deal because because starting with the 2024 season that jumped up to 300 mill. People think they started spending because of Shohei, but it was because of the TV deal increasing. The bad news for baseball is starting in 2030 it jumps up to 500 mill until 2040. Because they don’t have to pay luxury tax that amount is equal to 1 billion a year for other teams. If the Blue Jays are also immune to having to pay revenue sharing then they will likely match the Dodgers spending soon

9. If the Jays are planning for a long playoff run, then they need to plan for 5 X 37 starts potentially. In 2025, Lauer had 28 starts, Scherzer 17, Bowden Francis 10, Bieber 7, some bullpen games, and so on. Gausman, Cease, and Berrios are capable of giving you their requisite starts. I'm not sure of anyone else, except possibly Ponce who threw a lot of innings in the KPB. It's not a question of too many starters. Do we have enough to go the distance? I'd feel better if they could find a way to get Bassitt on board again.
