  1. 36yo eating innings on a 1yr deal and letting younger guys stay in the minors to develop. Can’t hate it

  2. It’s not my favourite, and it means younger guys might be held back. But I wanna get behind the idea.

  3. This offseason has felt so much more like a normal team’s. It’s nice to watch these little transactions like this one, Willi Castro, and Michael Lorenzen that both make the club better in the now and have the potential to be moved for future value at the trade deadline. I’m not saying Paul DePodesta is the savior of the franchise or anything, but at least he’s not terminally transaction-averse like the previous administrations.

    OK, mid-30’s but put up solid numbers last year for a debut MLB’er. Led the O’s in starts, although 33 HR’s allowed’s a warning flag.
