He’s back!

  1. I know he’s not 2010 Justin Verlander anymore, but it’ll be way cool to see him in the uniform again.

  2. Shower thought: does he start the home opener? Games 1-3 in Arizona go Skub/Framber/Flaherty then back to Detroit for nostalgia day with JV?

  3. I honestly don’t even care how good he is or isn’t anymore. I’m so happy he’s back.

  4. this gives me feels like when your fav band reunites, so it’s basically getting the band back together, but the band is a solo artist

  5. Shit I thought this was a joke but then I got an Athletic notification pop up. Fuck yeah!

  6. Holy crap! I finally broke down years ago and got his jersey then he left the following season. Same thing happened when I bought a Wings Datsyuk jersey.

  7. I said they needed to get him at the Deadline last year and got killed in the comments. Now everybody is giddy like a schoolgirl who just saw Taylor Swift, in person.

  8. We’re definitely trying to compete for pennants this season. I think we’ll honestly pay Skubal and we were just playing the arbitration game. Torres, Skubal, Flaherty, Mize, Rogers, and now Verlander are gonna be free agents. Báez, Finnegan, McKinstry, and Vest the year after that. Just lost in the 15th inning of an elimination game where pitching depth was questionable. Valdez and Verlander provide playoff experienced depth. Instead of making trades, they looked in free agency and potentially the farm system to fix needs, as well as a new hitting coach.

  9. Holy shit. Harris and Illitch have turned their image around in a week. Let’s fucking go

  10. Send him packing to go win two World Series, two additional Cy Young Awards, surpass 3,000 career strikeouts, throw hird no-hitter, 3,500 strikeouts and 3,500 innings pitched then go crawling back to him and ask him to be our boyfriend again at the end of his career while he went out and had all that fun. That’s some Forrest Gump shit there Jenny.. Fuck that. The older I get the more I hate professional sports.

  11. He isn’t what he was but remember, it was his leadership that turned a good but unfocused Houston staff into a WS winner. That will help these young guys immensely.
