ESPN Sends POWERFUL Message To Dallas Cowboys After Super Bowl 60

Dallas Cowboys offseason news centers around ESPN’s NFL power rankings, which ranked the Cowboys #18 heading into the 2026 NFL offseason. The Cowboys offense was great last season, but the defense was a mess. Christian Parker is the new Cowboys defensive coordinator, tasked with getting better play out key players like DeMarvion Overshown, Shavon Revel and DaRon Bland and turning around the NFL’s worst defense. But Jerry Jones must live up to his “bust the budget” proclamation by adding talent, or the Cowboys will again come up short. Cowboys Report by Chat Sports host Tom Downey breaks down the Cowboys offseason news, ESPN’s NFL power rankings and Dallas Cowboys rumors on today’s video!

Dallas Cowboys offseason plans via ESPN’s Todd Archer: “There is a lot of work to do, but the Cowboys started by hiring 34-year-old Christian Parker at defensive coordinator and an almost entirely new coaching staff. Now, they have to find Parker more talent after the defense allowed 511 points in 2025. They have two first-round picks (Nos. 12 and 20). They can be more aggressive in free agency depending on how they want to handle their salary cap. But they also need improvement from players already in-house, such as LB DeMarvion Overshown, CB Shavon Revel Jr., DE Donovan Ezeiruaku and CB DaRon Bland.”

  1. The cowboys wont make the playoffs next year either. Between the GP drama and teams having a year of film on the offense, they will regress. The defense will improve bc it is almost impossible to be worse than what they were but they still wont be good

  2. If they really want an a+ season roster moves, they need to cut Steele mandatory he’s fakes up a lot of cap for a player that doesn’t do much besides run block. If our top defensive picks are gone by the 12 pick draft the best offensive right tackle in the draft and second pick get a db or line backer. I’d say keep Donovan Wilson since he actually tackle but still find a safety that can actually ready the field

  3. When it comes to this front office When I see it I’ll believe it
Remember all that “Dry Powder” talk? Sam Donald is no where near DAK. DAK was more than good to take the team to a Super Bowl. Shows you how much so many other factors matter. Yup DAK Hate Hive I’m talking to YALL!

  4. Anybody else think the GIANTS r guna be a problem nxt season? They got alot of badass players and yung…hurt players will b bak…new coach and another high draft pick…not saying SB but better. Dallas must win the SB now before the GIANTS get it together

  5. I think defensive end is a huge need. The Cowboys have done a bad job drafting defensive ends in the draft. Let's hope Parker hired a guy who can develop defensive line talent. Otherwise get the best player available at cb, linebacker, and safety then go heavy at DE in free agency. Side Note: That Daron Bland contract was bullshit. Only the Cowboys sign a CB to a large contract and it still be a dire need in the offseason. The guy gets paid and then is hurt all of the time. Remind you of any other CBs?
