  1. Zero risk contract. So happy for everyone involved. This is huge. Cannot wait to see him in a Tigers uniform again

  2. That’s $2 million less than Alex Cobb got paid to pitch zero innings. Fuck yes, let’s go!

  3. Oh neat! Hopefully his end of season form from last year is what he gives the Tigers this year

  4. He’s not a starter anymore, but he will likely be used deep in the pen with the option to be a “break in case of emergency” starter who goes 3 innings if injuries begin to pile up on the team.

I like this move, provided he isn’t a part of the starting rotation. Lets him retire with us which is what he wanted. If we can end his career with a World Series win, that would be a storybook ending for both Verlander and the fans.

  5. Yeah but can he pitch? I’m not hating on the move but we didn’t address our hitting situation at all. Now we bring home Verlander which is a feel good story but look at his stats his last several years…

  6. So happy he is back, now lets get that eluaive WS for him and he can retire a champion and a Tiger.
