Can the Lightning Retake the Cup This June?
Tampa has been on a very impressive run. They’re among the Cup faves right now.

Love the videos. Would be really interesting to see an overview of what the league would look like with Olympic point system. As a Sharks fan it would be cool to see some analysis of the Pacific and where Vegas would end up
If this has already been done if someone could comment the link that I'm missing that would be great
Prominent injury: Hedman…….did we forget about Point? He's missed 18 games this season. A literal 1/3rd of the season so far and counting.
The Bolts have found that regular season style that transitions perfectly into the second season. Nobody who is being honest wants to see them in a 7-game series. Cup number 4 incoming.
Somehow Palpatine returned. ⚡️
Darren Raddysh having 52 points is crazy
I can't see any eastern team beating them
Jeff Blashill is gone that's why
New ring Shannon?
You could not live with the Panthers dirtiness. Where did that lead you? Back to Tampa
Hagels contract at 6.5 million has been a grand slam home run. He had 90 points and made NHL 2nd all star team last season.
Islanders. – Islanders could stop them. Lightning had NO answer for the islander's goaltending this season (2-1, 2-0, 3-2, all losses- scoring 1 goal a game against them on avg). Every team has a team that they are weak against even if they compete with everyone else.. and that might be theirs.

Great video as always, Go Bolts ⚡️⚡️
The three teams that have allowed the fewest goals in the NHL this season, in order: Colorado, Tampa Bay, Utah.
Regardless of what you think about the lightning it's a top-notch organization and owners that keep putting a very competitive team on the ice year after year
Bolts win it
I've said for the last couple of years that their window is closed and I sticking with it. But I'd be happy to be proven wrong. If they make it to the final and face Colorado there, the revenge factor could be what takes them all the way.
It's too easy to discount the "Covid Cups"…when it wasn't your team that won. Any fan who says, nah I wouldn't count them, isn't being honest. Dallas and Montreal players, would love to have won those series.
They definitely won't be a easy knockout. I think they can definitely do it.
This is the hockey version of Revenge of the Sith
Possibly
Jon Cooper is a sneaky cunning little beatty eyed bastard
I think they are definitely the strongest team in the east so they could win a cup! However usually the team I think will win does not so who knows!
They’re about to extend the streak of having a Florida team in the final to 7. That’s crazy.
Bolts are one of the exemplars of a very well managed team with excellent scouting.
What’s funny about our penalty minutes is that a lion’s share of those come from stuff getting out of hand against Florida. Like we had 81 in the last game alone. Wonder where we’d be if we didn’t rack up so many in those 4 meetings lol
Like the #4 Lecavalier jersey! GO BOLTS! ⚡
I remember watching raddysh and I always thought he had to skill set to be a top pairing Dman, great shot, great skater, not afraid to get physical and always thought his hockey IQ was good was well. Hedman and other Dmen getting injured gave him an opportunity to show off his skills and he ran away with it, real happy for the guy
I must say being a Lightning fan the last decade plus has been pretty good to us
9:54 Maybe. It's another reason to get back to the full conference playoff format instead of intradivisional. It rewards strong second- and third-place teams instead of punishing them to face each other. Likewise, strong division winners who advance aren't forced to face the strong team emerging from that battle. It makes for better matchups late in the playoffs, which should be what the networks want. But they're shortsighted and prideful as ever.
We wanted Jeff Blashill blasted to the moon and look where it has us.
It’s been a blast watching this team this yese
Go Lightning. After the start and injuries this team has had I'm really surprised they have been this consistent
Great vid THG
“You could not live with your own failure, where did that bring you? Back to me.” ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Raddysh is gonna get paid this offseason. Wish we could keep him but it's doubtful we can afford him.
If you exclude penalties against the Panthers it's not that bad.
I just love the team chemistry this year.
Everybody is talking about Blashill, you need to watch "Recharge: Process driven" episode, it will give you a look inside coaches room. He was responsible for the neutral zone.
Their Stanley Cup odds seem absurdly high for any team when 16 make the playoffs.
Honestly if not for 2x FLA H2H In the first round – Bolts could have won the Cup the last two years.
Great goalies and high scorers plus tough on defense. They seem to have it all.
Go Bolts⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
Early-season injuries to forwards is, in a large part, directly responsible for Tampa's success this season. They shuffled and switched guys around until they found the Gourde/Girgensons/Holmberg line, which has turned into a matchup monster. The way the bottom six has performed this year is simply amazing.
To me Kucherov has been the best value contract in the NHL for years
Kuch on pace for 146 pts.
I think Tampa can win another Cup this season, but it won't be easy. Vassy has to stay healthy, that is most important. Then Kuch. Then Cooper has to address the poor face off aspect, and somehow negotiate the Blue line. It was great without the return of McDonagh and Hedman. Dastous and Lilleberg and Carlyle and Crozier……who gets sent down when all are healthy, and how to utilize the Captain when he is slow and no longer the top power play guy. Should be interesting.
Florida cost of living is skyrocketing.
Can Kuch get by on 12 mil?
Go bolts⚡️⚡️⚡️
Arguably the best the Tampa bay Lightning have looked on defense since the cup runs, blashill is gone, coincidence?
Of course they can, because Blashill is not there (thank you Chicago).
2019-20: Stanley Cup
2020-21: Stanley Cup
2021-22: Finalists
Then they hired Jeff Blashill.
2022-23: First round exit
2023-24: First round exit
2024-25: First round exit
Blashill left Tampa for Chicago
2025-26: Lightning look unstopable, defense is one of the best in the league, best cup odds in the East again.
