  1. I think Springer plays less outfield with Santander out not more. They have more outfield options to play the field, and Santander probably would have ended up eating some of George's DH time forcing George into the field

  2. We have enough depth at least.. if any other injury occurs, there is Jonatan Clase. Elite speed, seems to be solid defensively, switch hitter and young. Can his bat come around?

  3. Atkins is the worst GM in the MLB

BO wanted to sign the second the season ended…. but ross alienated him massively by making him his back up plan to Tucker who WAS NEVER EVER coming to Toronto.

    Now his team is FUCKED.

Hoffman blew it 2 outs, that's all he needed…. jays won't see another WS for 20/30 years …. not even a playoff team this year with this trash offense

  4. Wish people would give Lukes some credit…he played like a grizzled veteran last year and came in clutch as much as anyone…he ain’t no rookie and is competent in left or right field…Barger is due for a huge year after becoming a real pro last year….one of the strongest outfield arms in the league as well as a big bat…Varsho would have threatened a 50 HR season last year if healthy….Springer can still play OF and Straw and Schneider can fill in nicely…Sure it would be nice to see Santander’s bat come back but there’s no one weaker defensively in the Jays OF right now…I think they’ll be fine in 26

  5. The sky is Falling!!!! THE SKY IS FALLING!!!
Tony taters is holding the young guys back. Springer is a free agent at the end of the season so taters will be the dh next year.

Sick of all the- THE SKY IS FALLING BULL CRAP!
    You’re not helping anyone!
    You’re overreacting as usual 🤦🏻‍♂️

  6. I don't want to see anyone get hurt. This isn't all bad news, though.

Bieber is unfortunate, but there are still five starters, and since Lauer is being ramped up that makes six. We can get by.
Francis wasn't a key part of the roster. Unfortunate, but not harmful from a roster construction point of view.
Santander…this is going to bother the simps, but this is addition by subtraction for this team. Lukes is a better lineup fit and should get everyday playing time. Santander, if healthy, was going to be "swing-and-miss JAG who hits balls hard the odd time and can't field". There's a whole lot of blessing in disguise here.

  7. The only bright side is that we made it to the WS without him last year, so it’s almost like nothing’s changed. But man what a robbery that contract is looking like now

  8. This is the best news possible when it comes to Santander NC he is awful defensively when we had the best defensive outfield in
MLB last year, he can't hit for anything but power and we don't know if that would have returned, Bowden Francis is insignificant and Beiber is just delayed still likely to be available for the start of the season. We will not require Springer to play outfield bc we can go with Barger in right, Varsho in center and Lucas in left. We still have Schneider and loperfido and Straw. Third can be played by Okamoto and or Clement who can play the occasional game there with Schneider playing second , I also believe Okamoto could play second with some reps.

  9. My question is WHY didnt Santander have this surgery last season? Why is it happening before the season starts? In fact, same qustion for Bowden. Beiber was expected, in fact I hope he is not rushed back and is available for the 2nd half of the season. Dude, calm the phukk down. Berrios and Lauer can start and Springer diesnt need to play outfield with Lukes, Barger, Schneider and Loperfido all capable of playing and honestly better gloves.

  10. Maybe this will force the Jays to sign Zac Gallen or make another trade with the Twins for Joe Ryan or Pablo Lopez.

Or they can fast-track Gage Stanifer who would took over games for Yesavage in the Minor leagues and led with a 35.5% strikeout rate in 2025.
He fanned 161 batters in 110 IP and posted a 2.86 ERA across three levels. His ETA for the MLB is for 2027.

  11. Wow dude, "scary" ?? You need to relax – the journey is the beauty of baseball. We'll miss Bo's bat for sure, but other than that we are still way better on paper to start the year than we were last year. We have a deep outfield, deeper pitching – let's look forward to spring training and enjoy the ride!!
    Love your content.

  12. Santander could’ve had the surgery in November but awaits till spring training to decide that he needs surgery. I’m sorry but what a shit show he is. Brutal contract useless player just release him.

  13. I am not worried. Santander barely played last season and the Jays didn't miss his bat at all. They have a deep pitching staff this year and no need to jump off the cliff 😂

  14. Ya Toronto was fine without Santander last year. However the difference this year is we don’t have Bichette playing 139 games for Toronto like he did in 2025 to help offset the loss of Santander. This has the makings of a 2024 season.

  15. I was thinking a couple weeks ago that it would be best if Santander would get injured. The guy sucks in the field.. Next year her can dh. Bieber they knew all winter that he would start later. Francis we didn't use him last year so we won't miss him this year.
Calm down Nick… We don't need to panic yet!

  16. Blue Jays could have signed Bo and Tucker for 3-4 years each (120m + 260m, they do have that money) and make a push for WS again for the next couple of years. Now they are almost going to wait for another top talent to come along hopefully before Vladdy retires. I had high hopes but now I know Jays are likely not going to make WS again soon.

  17. The Santander news is great! We now don't have to play him due to his terrible contract. At his age lets be honest he is done, great great news. Bieber and Bowden is bad news.

  18. You don't panic. Barger, Lukes, Loperfido are all capable of playing outfield. Plus, I don't want Santander playing defence anyways. Bieber could be a big miss. Good thing we didn't trade Berrios.

  19. The setback suffered by Santander may be a blessing in disguise because Jays nation were hopefully assuming that he would revert to his masher form of two years ago. There is no certainty that this would have happened.
This will open the doors for Lucas and Loperfido, languishing in the wings with a chance to shine.

  21. The only one that matters is Bieber. Francis has been a non-factor for awhile and I didn't want Santander to begin with. Time to give Loperfido some more playing time like they should have done in the playoffs.
