[Bowman] Schwellenbach says he may need to have arthroscopic surgery to have bone spurs removed. Asked if he fears he could miss the entire season, he said he doesn’t know what the recovery time would be

  1. We all knew he was having surgery. He went on the 60 day IL after playing catch for a couple weeks. Obviously something wrong. He’s gonna end up with a brace just like Strider did.

  2. Someone help me out here…is this the fault of anyone in particular? (ie should’ve seen/found this sooner) or just typical Atlanta luck? (Or both?)

  3. Generally, the full recovery time from arthroscopic surgery in 3 months. So assuming he does have surgery, we’re looking at May at the very earliest. Probably June.

  4. Baseball is starting to not be fun. When the best players keep getting injured, maybe it’s time to reconsider what’s happening in the sport from t-ball up.

  5. Having these young pitchers come up and absolutely kill it for a season or two, then get devastated by injuries is getting real old. Just hate seeing it for these kids

  6. Not saying it would fix things but I’m really going back to not making a better offer for fried. Yes this would still suck but we’d be looking at adding a guy more for depth and not we need a new #3 pitcher

  7. As previously stated, you can never have too much pitching. Hopefully the Braves can bring in another viable starter.

  8. It’s crazy how I already can’t wait for this season to be over….and it hasn’t even started yet.
