This sounds like a decent way to provide rotation depth in the second half of the year but I’m concerned about who may need to be bumped off the 40 man roster to accommodate Montgomery.

Any one-year deal is a good deal. Hope he’s right and healthy!
He’s still recovering from Tommy John. If he can get back to part of himself, this is a good depth move for later in the season.
But not much more than that, I think.
