According to NFL.com, Packers had the worst 2025 draft class. Thoughts?

  1. I remember when we all agreed that it took about 3 years for WRs to develop. I’m still happy with that timeline.

  2. Golden will definitely take the next step next season after that flash we saw last game.

Sorrell is going to be a dawg.

  3. I mean you gotta get them in.

Golden severely underutilized to his skill set and Belton was behind Rhyan until he had to move to C.

I didn’t like the Savion pick, but he’s not terrible and everyone else was deep in the roster.

It all comes back to the last draft where we couldn’t have a dog CB and picked a Tackle who is ok. Lassitor/Dejean would have made this team a lot more solid in my opinion.

  4. This is really a “year 1 impact” draft class evaluation.

A true draft evaluation needs at least a 3 year body of work to really be fairly judged.

  5. We really only got one starter out of this group this year with Belton. And that took half of the season to get here. It is only the first year though. This is more of an indication that our roster did not have that many holes or needs. Golden, Belton, Sorrell, and Brinson might be long term starters. Oliver and Williams will be rotational players. Give it a few years.

  6. We’ll see. It wasn’t a very impressive first year though. Sorrell is the only one I’d list as a stand out compared to his draft position.

  7. If you’re just looking at rookie year impact then yeah this draft class looks pretty terrible. Hopefully that changes in year 2 and going forward.

  8. There was a time when people didn’t have to talk about football alllllll year long. It was great.

  9. Why don’t we draft players that know how to the play the game instead of players that are very athletic?

  10. As I’ve said, when is the last time we’ve drafted a Pro Bowl player. Gary doesn’t count.

  11. It’s early yet, but it’s not looking great so far. I think the assessment is fair, but we have to see if things change down the road.

For one, I’m interested in seeing what Golden can do. I think he was waaaay underutilized his rookie year. I think his numbers grow next year, especially if he’s targeted how we all hoped he would be. Belton was serviceable, but we will see if he gets better or not. I didn’t think he was terrible, but he wasn’t great either. Time will tell. The two I’m really interested in are Sorrell and Oliver. I think those two could be good.

  12. Yeesh, there is going to need to be some massive improvement for this to even become a ‘C+’ grade. Still dont fully understand extending Gutey for so long.

  13. It’s early to call it a complete bust as players may take leaps in future years, but in terms of immediate impact it may very well have been the worst in the league, which is presumably what this ranking is based off of so can’t really disagree with it

  14. The only pick I don’t care for was Williams. Gadget players have a spotty record in the NFL and there was such an obvious need at CB. I just don’t see him having much of an impact.
My way too early guess is Golden turns out to be serviceable, Belton gets a 2nd contract, and Sorrell and Oliver are decent if not spectacular rotation guys. An average draft, in other words.

  15. Too early to tell for many…

I liked the gadget, utility of Savion.

Golden should only go up from there.

Belton starting 7 games as a rookie says there’s gotta be SOMETHING there.

Sorrell seemed to have good twitch and speed.

This draft was about insurance policies for starters more than anything, for better or worse. I suspect you’ll see a lot of DBs and trench picks this draft.

  16. How would anyone even know at this point? Golden looked good when he was out there, same for Anthony Belton and Savion Williams, and those DL guys looked like they’re coming up to speed. Unlike other teams, the Packers don’t often throw rookies right into the fire, not even first round rookies. Tell me how they all look in a couple more seasons, just like all the current third year guys like Reed, Kraft, Whelan, and LVN who are looking great and won’t be burnt out and used up in a couple more years.

  17. If we play the game of looking back at the draft class two years ago, we can say Micah Parsons has worked out pretty well.

  18. Completely agree. This draft class was straight buns. Golden looking great in the playoff game is the only thing that saves it from being a flat out F
