What do we think about getting Caleb Banks in the draft
February 11, 2026
Not at no10 but if Caleb downs isn’t there I don’t really like anyone at that spot so we either trade down in the first or trade up in the second if he falls

Caleb Downs will be off the board by #10, so Mansoor Delane would likely be the safest pick.

I’ve heard that Peter woods and Caleb banks are the two 3techs in this class that have the athletic upside to be something more than rotational DTs, but I’m worried about whether they’ll be day 1 impact players or take a while to develop like Kris Jenkins is taking
I’m not up on specific college players, but we *need* to take the best defensive player available for the first three picks, regardless of position. Even if we address certain positions in FA (which I doubt we will), we have no depth anywhere. We need our top picks to be defensive players that can have an immediate impact, even if not day 1 starters.
If downs and Bain are gone I’m 100% on the delane train. Pick up haulcey in rd 2 and your secondary is unbelievable good. FA picks up 2 pieces on DL and a LB and we are rolling baby.
I just want an O line for Christmas
I’m not interested in Banks. Big guy with foot problems. As a not big man with foot problems, I can only imagine being big makes that worse.
Send Trey & 1st round to the Raiders. For you all know who.
I’m a Gator fan and a huge Banks fan. He’s a disruptive player and can wreck an offensive game plan.
That said I’m not a fan of drafting him before the 3rd rd. He just couldn’t stay on the field in college and the rigor of the peo game makes me feel like he might have a short career. He feels like someone a team will gamble a mid 1st on so I really don’t think he’s in play even in the 2nd.
Not at 10.
Not at 10 but if he’s there in the second (or we trade down potentially) he’d be pretty high on my board most likely
he would be a claaaaaassic Bengals reach at 10. But would be an absolute steal at 42.
Not nearly as much as Caleb Downs – apex predator, shut-down safety who can shore up our defensive backfield. Word.
Peter Woods seems better to me without foot injury issues
In order I want
1 Downs
2 Bain
3 Delane
4 Woods
I’d draft Akheem Mesidor before him
He looked like a problem at the senior bowl. Chris jones type.
2nd round or trade up/down but not at 10
None of it matters if Zac Taylor is still the head coach. The guy is a total loser. He’s only won 8 games without Joe Burrow in 7 seasons? We would be better off with no coach then this coach.
