He’s a LG all the way. If Decker came back and we added veteran tackle depth in FA, I’d be fine with it.
I’d be fine with this even if he stays at left guard. He’s the most pro ready OL in my opinion and he’s a beast pass blocker. Tbh, any pick in the trenches I’ll never be mad at. On either side of the ball.
I don’t personally think the lions should waste a pick on a guard since we have invested so much in Mahogany. Unless we convert Tate to center seems like that pick could be used on a tackle/center or defender first
If we choose to stay in the first round picking him is our best option if he’s there. Him at LG, Tate at RG, Sewell RT, 2nd round pick up Slaughter for C and then we need to find an LT in FA or Trade.
I would like to to trade our first round to a team who wants it from more 2nd round picks or a trade and picks.
He’s a beast. Not my preferred pick at 17 though, because at that point you’re basically telling Tate he *has* to play Center no matter what, and you still need to find a Tackle if Deck retires.
