Hyper-reactionary take, but I’m sick of this shit Ainge is pulling.
Just as Utah gets a core that can actually win some games, Jaren mysteriously all of a sudden requires season ending surgery.
I’ve watched way more Utah basketball since the trade and actually was enjoying their team. What I didn’t enjoy was how they would blatantly pull Jaren and Lauri for the fourth every game in spite of them being in heaters.
Do I normally care whether Utah is shitty? No. Is this because I had hopes we would pass them in the lottery odds? Yes. Does tanking basketball hurt the sport? Yeah.
They’ve tried fining them for openly tanking, and that didn’t do shit. I think if you are consistently in the lottery for 3 straight years, you should at least risk losing your pick.
Idk, just pisses me off. They don’t deserve AJ, Boozer, or Peterson. And they definitely don’t deserve Jitty 😭
Relegate the Utah Jazz to the G-League and force them to send Jitty home (pic unrelated)

Our tank requires Cam Spencer refusing to shoot an open baseline jumper or KCP launching an awful 30′ shot with time left on the clock.
Your tank requires pretend surgeries to prevent your best players from playing.
We are not the same.

Just gonna place this here….
It’s super annoying that they’re being so obvious in their tanking, but aren’t we kinda doing the same thing but just a little different? By getting rid of our only two healthy big men, we’re essentially waving the white flag for other teams to make these late-game comebacks. In Utah’s case, they’re at least giving their fans a chance to see their star players go out on the court for three quarters. Both ways are ugly and boring but do essentially the same job
