  1. Thank god we won that, because that was a rough game to watch. Better hook an IV up to DC or something, because we look so much worse without him.

  2. Robert Williams with 14/14/1 with 4 blocks and 2 steals in 23 minutes tonight.

If this dudes knees werent compromised I honestly think he’d be a top 10 all time Blazer center.

  3. Game notes:

    * Kind of a pickup-game vibe, with no bigs on either team, not a lot of sets on offense, just running up and down the court pushing the pace in transition.

    * Don’t know how this one ended up being a double digit game in the end. I felt like the Blazers mostly sleep walked their way through it, lol. Shooting 10/46 from three and still finding a way to win is…..something.

    * Scoot with a bit of a rough start- two quick fouls and dribbled the ball off his foot. Jumper didn’t go in (second time in the last two game he stepped on the line while making a shot, unfortunately) but he looked quick and was pretty good getting to the rim. It helped that the Bulls have non existent rim protection. Sometimes he’s overaggressive on defense and he got lost off the ball giving up cuts multiple times.

    * Too many fouls. gave up 18 FTA in the first quarter, tough to watch.

    * Tisse was super active. A bunch of deflections, made a contested three, blocked two three pointers, etc. Tisse stuff.

    * Does Blake Wesley slip on the floor more than anyone else I’ve ever seen? I think so lol

    * The team as a whole got burnt by back door cuts about 10 times in the first half. Super frustrating to watch the lack of focus especially in a game like this where theres no center to clean up messes at the rim

    * Vit made some fantastic passes when attacking closeouts in space. Good to see him making shots, too.

    * RW was fantastic on both ends of the floor. Defended well in space, protected the rim, his roll gravity was huge for the offense, etc.

    * I feel like the Kris/Sidy combo that lost the lead in the fourth quarter just doesn’t have quite enough offensively. Got saved by a couple 50/50 balls bouncing our way, and someone (Miller?) falling asleep on defense giving up an open dunk. Jrue trying to dribble against a set defense for 20 seconds of the shot clock is just bad offense (especially when there’s nobody who can move off the ball or generate any perimeter gravity besides JG). Would love to see Vit in those lineups because you still have length on defense, but you get some spacing, ballhandling, etc.

    * It wasn’t always pretty but JG put ball in hoop and we needed all of it

  4. One positive. We shot lights out from the foul line tonight. If we do what we usually do there we lose.

  5. Scoots minutes are dumbfounding.  What are we doing?   I feel like this organization has sabotaged his career to some extent.

  6. I never want to see Jrue Holiday or Kris Murray in a Blazer uniform again. Let alone on the floor at the same time.

  7. Im glad that we won, but jesus, kris scoot jrue and toumamy combined for 2/26 from three, remove tou and its 0/17, and thats against the worst team itl at defending 3s, allowing the highest percentage of shots to go in. Either we stop shooting 42 3s per game ,(2nd in the nba) or we find a way to make them because this has been a problem for a while now

  8. Im deadass so pissed about scoot being SO passive for absolutely no reason. Like bro youve gotten past your man 5 times and havent missed a lay. BRO DRIVE

  9. Regardless of the result, this team NEEDS to see what it has in Scoot. Not playing him is literal malpractice. He’s healthy, off a minutes restriction. The guys that finished were playing AWFUL. No excuses. If he fails as a player the blazers have been a big part of the problem not letting him develop (injuries too)

  10. Sometimes I feel bad this is where Ant landed, but then I remeber how much he is getting paid with zero expectations.

  11. Bulls are trying to lose so hard they manage to score only 10 points in 7 minutes so they wont actually come back. Good thing we are pretty much locked in play-in lets try to win some more and merge into the 8th seed

  12. Some ugly offense and lackadaisical defense, but only 12 turnovers and almost 90% from the line

  13. Blazers legend Toumani Camara, great interview with Kev and Lamar.

Jrue really sealed this in the clutch.

    Kris Murray hooped tonight.

  14. Every time they play the Moda playground commercial I just hear Chauncey saying Tiiiiiiiiinn in my head

  15. Really hoping that when the new ownership comes in they will completely clean house on every part of the organization besides the players. What they did to draft Hansen who is not even close to an nba caliber player is a fireable offense in itself

  16. Not the prettiest game but a win is a win. And they shot 90 percent from the free throw line instead of missing way too many free throws so that’s a plus. And I gotta give props to Kris Murray. He’s been playing solid as of late. And to Timelord as well. Man did we need every bit of his production tonight. And Jrue took some bad shots but still made some good passes and made some shots in the clutch and so did Grant as well. This likely would have been a loss though if Portland played anyone but the Bulls with an offense with a pulse. So still a ton to work on.

  17. Rest of the season should be Scoot development time. Get the guy to put up shots, play defence and play make. See what you can get out of him because if you do have a serviceable player or if he can live up to his potential from the draft then having Dame, Scoot, Sharpe with Jrue Holiday as your 4th guard option seems like a sweet deal.

Also on a side note holy size issue. No Clingan = free pass to the paint. I’m not saying we need another supersized C but maybe using Grants contract we could grab a real PF or sign someone with defensive upside.

I know I’m gonna sound like a nutjob but how about Zeke Naji. Guy doesn’t play in Denver similar situation to Ousame Dieng in OKC but I really feel he could be useful to this team.

Also maybe trade for Bam Adebayo to be a guy that can start at the 4 and then play backup 5 when Clingan is sitting. Just to give us a more dynamic team.

  18. Our handling of Scoot’s career has been so bizarre. Feels like he’s forever going to be relegated to a backup PG role while with us.

  19. Sure seems we hit the part of the season where we are going to beat any team motivated to lose, no matter if we play like ass.

  20. Interesting that 4 out of 5 starters tonight had negative +/-. Jerami definitely didn’t play the prettiest brand of basketball but he’s been absolutely critical for us offensively without Deni and Shae.

  21. This team is forever caught on the edge of tanking and being slightly too good to tank.

Falling out of the top 10 picks for the play-in only to get 0-4 against the Spurs or Thunder is absolutely stupid.

    Give everyone surgery.
