MOCK DRAFT: New Orleans Saints Can’t Miss Out On Jeremiyah Love At No. 8 After NFL Combine Display
The NFL Combine puts the spotlight on Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, whose elite speed and scoring ability could transform the New Orleans Saints offense if available at pick 8. With the Saints hungry for a game-breaking playmaker alongside Tyler Shough, Chris Olave, and Alvin Kamara, the debate around first-round running back value heats up.
Keep an eye on prospects like Louisville’s Chris Bell, despite his recent ACL injury, and UCF’s Malachi Lawrence, whose freakish combine performance boosts his draft stock as a potential edge rusher next to Chase Young. Late-round gems, including South Carolina’s Jalon Kilgore and speedy return specialist Lorenzo Stiles Jr., could bolster depth and special teams.

That bum at After Further Review will lose his 💩. Please draft Love. 😂
He won't be there at #8. So what is the backup plan?
Why didn't you address cornerback? We need a taller cornerbacks on the boundary put Riley in the slot.
Give me RB- Love at 8th pick if he’s still on the board. Second to best player in this draft! Game changer, big time playmaker at a key position of need on offense.
Sonny Styles put up great numbers at the combine but his motor isn’t always at full throttle when he’s on the football field! We don’t need another Winfred Tubbs at LB
Finally the Narrative switches to RB in the first round of the draft 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love is one of the RBs that teams dream of drafting every couple of years, but I tend to agree that some RBs over the past 20 years were not worth drafting because teams don't see RB as a premium as it was in the 60s and late 90s. Plus, in 2003, only one RB was drafted in the first round, which became commonplace after that; there have been times when two or three may get drafted, but nothing further. With the passing game becoming more important, teams recently have renewed their focus on the running game to control the clock and complement their passing strategies.
Hey, Ross. Why did you stop saying New Orleans native in your intro?
Eli Stowers would solve a lot of our problems in the red zone. He should be the 2nd round pick. 3rd round should be Tacario Davis, corner out of Washington. Linebacker and edge should be addressed in the 3rd and 4 th round
No Running back in the first round please! The Texans gave a 5th rounder for Montgomery. That could have been the saints.
I want Chris Bell bad! I would love to get love but if he not there get the big TE. Kenyon or Stowers.
Jeremyah Love said he's tired of playing in the cold. I'm not good at geography but I think New Orleans is warmer than Washington DC. Come on down!!!
Imagine if Keyon Sidiq convery to RB and that QB Talon Green convert to WR. Them boys would be to dominate! Kenyon would just run the whole D over and Green would just catch jump balls all day like Jimmy Graham..
I would rather wait and pick up Washington Jr to be honest..bigger and obviously faster
As long as we do NOT get Jordan Tyson. He injury prone. He wont make it past 3 years. Chris Bell is so strong and he's always trying to run guys over and get extra yards and he actually fast. Projected 4.4 forty.. 💪🏼 🏈 🎯
Micky loomis isn't listening!!!😂
I don’t think he makes it to us I say draft Sonny or downs and in the second round draft Mike Washington jr he’s gone be nice to
AK is washed up but we def don't need a RB at 8 get one in the later rounds
I really think that Mat Mascona is right about this but I don't see anyone much agreeing with him.
Take Carnell Tate @8
Your boy Matt say it’s a bad idea
Who dat
Well, stealing a star draft pick from the Chiefs would be a nice bit of revenge. Seriously, if he's available at 8, he should be picked there. If not by us, then by a team that trades up into 8 to get him. The roster still has so many needs that I would place more value on multiple picks than Love. Like, say we trade down one spot so the Chiefs can lock in Love and we get a day 2 pick in addition. I think that's a win for us, given there's no guarantee Love will even be on the board at 8.
The biggest thing for us is who is there at #8. We will have a shot at someone that is a starter in a main position. RB, WR, S, DE, possibly TE depending on Sadiq being available if none of the other top guys are. A lot will also depend on Alonte staying.

"Believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear" is always a wise strategy in life, but especially around this time of year.
It's not that first round RBs aren't good. It's that those teams don't make the playoffs after they draft them.
Giants were not a playoff team with Saquon.
Lions aren't a playoff team with Gibbs.
Falcons aren't a playoff team with Bijan.
Raiders are the first overall pick with Jeanty.
You take too end RB when you're already a good team with a good line.
If not love maybe nick singleton??
I don’t want Chris bell in the 2nd round maybe 3rd
Drafting Reggie Bush in R1 worked out pretty well for us!
Saints should take Love, even if hes gone theyll have their pick of BPAs
I’m glad you didn’t eat the cheese with Malaki Lemon
Hope one of those 3rd day picks, includes a punter.😅
