Which top NFL free agents make the MOST SENSE for the Cleveland Browns?

No matter who ultimately wins the quarterback job in 2026, Cleveland has to make sure the pocket is cleaner than it was last season. If the Browns are serious about getting the offense back on track, investing in proven protection up front could be the first domino.

From a “who actually makes sense” standpoint, Cleveland’s free-agent radar should include players who can fill real roles immediately. A veteran tackle like Braden Smith could provide stability and leadership on the right side if he becomes available, while offensive playmakers such as Christian Kirk, Jauan Jennings, or even a versatile weapon like Deebo Samuel could add much-needed toughness and reliability to the passing game. The Cleveland Heights native has been connected to speculation about a potential hometown return if he decides to keep playing. If the opportunity ever became realistic, it would be more than just a roster move — it would be a culture-shifting addition for the offense. Whether it’s Kelce or another veteran weapon, the blueprint for Cleveland feels pretty clear: reinforce the offensive line, add dependable playmakers, and finally give the Browns’ offense the support it needs to compete at a higher level in 2026.

  2. Bull said really good players don’t hit free agency 😂 guess what good quarterbacks don’t get cut either. Don’t forget the cardinals were better last year on offense with Jacoby Brissett which led to Murray not playing for the rest of the season but listening to theses geniuses Murray and the Browns would be a playoff team 😂. Murray is a coach killer and he would have Berry and Monken fired in 2 years with Bull and Justin leading the way 😂

  3. Kelce ain’t coming to the Browns…bring in Murray tho, he’s the only player to have a clause written into his contract in regards to video game play so I’d question his commitment to the game but he should help the QB competition.

  6. Saying, “What’s the point of bringing all these players in just to not try to get Kyler Murray to go for it in 2026?” is a dumb way of thinking. Building up your O-line helps you in the short term and the long term whether you stick with Shedeur this year and draft Arch next year or not.

  10. They keep advocating for Anthony R, a guy who pulled himself from the field because he said he was tired. Kyler M a guy who his franchise said was too worried about playing video games instead of learning the playbook and working on his craft as an NFL QB. Malik W who the Titans were so low on they drafted Will L almost instantly to replace him. 😂😂😂 I tune in for the comedic effect of The Ultimate Dungeon of Sadness in Cleveland.

  13. I have been saying for WEEKS we need to draft Jeremiah love to have a 2 headed Monster in the backfield. Also 12 personnel with another good TE Like Kenyon Sadiq. Then a WR and OL in the middle rounds and Free Agency… Ole Miss WR D. Striblings is a BEAST look him up.

  27. These one year OL deals are for the birds. And so is Kyler Murray. We go from Dillon Gabriel to him? Are we collecting QBs or figurines? He's too small! He breaks easily! He can't win anything with him limitations! Better by far to see what we have in Sanders. If he can't cut it at least we will know. The worst of all possible worlds is overpaying for a overrated and undersized talent like Murry, and cutting Sanders only to have him go on to a great career elsewhere. Jets should have developed Darnold, ya know!

  34. Cleveland is the recycle bin for the entire NFL.. even if recent history could show differently. Every bum agent is trying to push any bum they have to the Browns.. why? It’s bc we accept average as exceptional and hope for the best. The only way to change this is by building a new culture (work in progress) successfully develop draft picks and coach up FAs. Insert Monken.. 🤞. That takes time.. in an impatient league it’s the road less traveled. Until the Browns are willing and patient enough to take that path and execute they will be an underachieving franchise. IMO.. we walking that path. Things that are popular in the media but would disrupt the path.. trading Myles.. relying on Watson.. having another QB competition.. bringing in over priced aged players. These stupid narratives keep making rounds like a carousel.. why? Bc they’ve done all of those things in the past just change a few names for Baker and Johnny. Looking at the recent actions of the FO.. it’ll be clear (to me) which path they on after the draft. Personal, I’d focus on building the team.. give 12 a shot to develop (not waste reps on a useless competition) the vet QBs already here.. maybe another journeyman that knows TM for the bench. The TEAM needs to improve regardless who’s at QB. All 12 did was throw for 300+yds, win his FIRST start as a rook, showed moments of greatness, willingness to work, measured improvement but more than anything.. won the locker room. He’s in the community.. helping ppl, visiting schools, speaking positivity and most local media wants to flush him. 12 actually campaigned to be in Cland.. yeah he was shooting for 2nd overall money but he was still excited about the challenge. The ‘want to’ is different with each person but his willingness to put in the work shows. IMO give him a clear path to be the starter.. he will have growing pains but the Browns will know if they have a QB by the end of 26 and Watsons money is 1yr closer to being off the books. Best cast we turn a 5th into a starting QB .. AB looks like a G and the cap is again just your imagination

  37. This talk is foolishness, Bull sounds ridiculous, only fix the OL and other skill positions only if you sign a undersized QB who has done nothing in this league but be mediocre, to set the team back another year with Tyler Murray…this is foolishness 😂😂😂
