Hopefully this puts the Mark Williams truthers to bed, there’s a reason why we rescinded the trade for him. Ayton hasnt been the best but at least his availability isn’t questionable

  1. And that’s with them playing him limited minutes. Kind of sad though. Sucks when a player has injury issues out of their control.

  2. Nothing to see here folks, just a stress related injury for a player who plays limited minutes

  3. He’s played in 56 out of 61 games this year for the Suns, averaging 12 points 8 rebs in 24 minutes per game.

Ayton has played in 53 games out of 61 games this year. Averaging 12 points 8 rebounds in 28 minutes per game.

  4. I don’t wish injuries on anyone, man. Sucks that it didn’t work out with us, but I hope he has a long and healthy career. I would be mad, too, if I were him, I get it. No bad blood from me, big dog.

  5. I’d have taken his production and a 3 week absence over dalton CantConnect

  6. Yes, he’s going to be re-evaluated in two-to-three weeks but he’ll be out a lot longer.

  7. Definitely hate to see players that have issues like this.

    But.

To all the Laker fans who prematurely crucified Rob for rescinding the trade, this is why. He’s a walking time bomb. Forget Dalton, he’s irrelevant. You absolutely cannot trade your last remaining 1st rounder (at the time) and a 1st round pick swap for this guy. You just can’t.

  8. Isn’t this his first injury since the trade got rescinded ? I don’t really see how this is a gotcha moment regardless

  9. Damn so same number of minutes as Dalton is going to play for the next 2 to 3 weeks /s

  10. Remember when people said we should trade our last pick for him (and it would have meant no tradable picks for the foreseeable future)? Now he’s out with a major injury right before the playoffs

  11. Good thing we have reliable team doctors. Their assessment were accurate. Williams played career high games though this season at 56 games. His previous one was 44 games played.
