  1. Ah, back when Fox did not have the most milktoast announcers they could find do their playoff games. Simpler times. No shade to the current guys, it's a hard job, and I'm sure some of my opinion is tainted by nostalgia, but I miss Buck/Aikman Albert/Johnston/Siragusa doing the biggest games of the year.

I'll bet the current guys to a lot of fans are to them what Buck/Albert are to me, or Summerall and Madden are to so many. If that's the case more power to you, that's awesome.

  2. This game is so special to me since it solidified me as a life long niner and football fan since this was the first game i ever sat down and watched at 10 years old

  3. As a lifelong Saints fan, I'll say that this game is an all-time classic and probably still the craziest Final 5 minutes of a football game I've seen. But I STILL won't be able to watch this game past that 3rd down conversion to Vernon Davis that setup the eventual Game Winner. Gregg Williams refusing to double cover Davis stings more than any other playoff loss sans the 2018 No Call.

  4. 9 years after the comeback thriller versus the Giants in 2002, Candlestick returned to the Playoffs with another instant classic!

Sure, the stadium was the absolute dumps and took 2-3 hours to leave after the game, but the magic there was intangible… Levi's has had some nice playoff games, but none have ever come close to the Stick!
