Not specifically Kraken related, more like Kraken adjacent, but an excellent article about the end of McMann and the Leafs. Since is is behind a paywall, here’s a gift link: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7106657/2026/03/11/bobby-mcmann-maple-leafs-trade-kraken-behind-the-scenes/?source=user\_shared\_article&unlocked\_article\_code=1.TlA.2AFl.4VgvjREBEyW1&smid=ta-ios-share

He suggests Toronto is a tough place to play

He was in negotiations with Toronto right up until the deadline, and was surprised it didn’t get done

He wants lengthy term on an extension

  1. Pardon my ignorance but was this dude scoring goals at this rate with Toronto?

  2. He gives me hope. His comment when getting the helmet the other night about how it’s hard to change teams made it sound like the locker room is being welcoming. I hope he finds enjoyment here.

  3. If he keeps this up for a couple games they should extend him before he gets too expensive — there’s going to be spots open on the team after this season. He’s fast, he hits, and he gets to the soft spots in the O zone

Like an older, riskier Owen Tippett with slightly less defense
