  1. My grandpa was a semi-pro pitcher and would tell stories about them hitting umpires that were squeezing them by doing essentially what just happened, just on purpose instead of accident.

  2. I know they get hit by foul tips, wild pitches etc… but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a straight bean to the face before

  3. I think the overtly Disingenuous concern for the umpire’s health was a huge tell.

Completely on purpose–another reason for the challenge system–safety of the umpires. lmao

  4. i had a moment of “Marsee looks like Pasquantino? am i really that bad at differentiating? no, that is Pasquantino mislabeled as Marsee”

  5. The people behind homeplate checking their phones constantly bugs me way more than it should.

How are you not glued to the field.

  6. Is it weird to say that this game has a really weird vibe, something just feels off about it so far

  7. Italy winning the whole WBC without using iPads may be the one event that can course-correct us back to a positive timeline

  8. yeah I hear there’s all kinds of fun to be had on Carnivale cruises..

  9. The catcher must have been talking shit to the ump before that the way he reacted

  10. Istg if this is another game where they all stop scoring after reaching 2-1 in the 4th inning…

  11. 6 and 7th inning is where you need to score because the later it gets the better the pitching is gonna get

  12. I feel bad for Joe Davis getting strays because of how bad Smoltz is

Davis is fantastic but Smoltz brings the broadcast down about 85%
