Venezuela had the better pitching, better hitting, better fans, and better managing. Absolutely the best team. Too much will be said about DeRosa, Judge, etc but Venezuela deserves this.

Up until the Harper at-bat, was this game on pace to legitimately be the worst offensive performance of all time with respect to the expected performance of a star-studded lineup of Team USA’s caliber?
This US lineup which was constantly praised and talked about as a death star lineup was shutdown in this tournament by a:
* 17 year old
* Farmer who hadn’t pitched since the last WBC
* Single-A guy named Tugboat
* Various other perennial minor leaguers
* A guy with a career ERA of 4.19
DeRosa needs to be fuckin gone, this team was cheeks.
