I was willing to give Cowan the benefit of the doubt but I just don’t see him as a future NHL player!
It is going to be a rough patch. Cowan is hardly that young he's almost 21 and he's repeating the same mistakes game in and game out. We really don't have any real prospects coming in to shore up this team. He has to show more.

Cowan like bedard started 1 or 2 years to early. Bedard minus 80 after 2 years and miles on his body wasted. But chicago sold a bunch of jerseys. Cowan will be fine in a couple years. He has 2 things most leafs dont have thats a " give a shite" and talent. Just effs up too much.
Without jt and am leafs have a great record , doesn't matter which one is out. That also means Jt has a great record when mathews is out or visa versa. That tells me both are fine but you only needed 1 talented soft center and a bit more grit 2nd line down. It also tells me that it didn't matter who willy or marner or hyman etc. Played with. Jt wasn't needed. Once he was here matthews wasnt needed. Thats the real issue. Now jt is old mathews plays like a 50year old before the injury already and is going to look 80 in his return. And you have no marner. Like him or not he is what kept the leafs competitive last year and there are no replacements.
gotta be honest, Parros conducted a pretty decent, educational and thorough media scrum…Harvard University grad with a lawyer's degree, he actually sounded smarter than I thought he was! Not a big fan of a lot of of his decisions or his "teams" decisions. Just wonder how many members of his "team" played 3/4 of their career with the Anaheim Mighty Ducks and still have connections with them, and this might have been a huge influence…. Radko GudASS should have gotten a minimum of 10-15 games regardless of who got hurt….it is ridiculous !!!!
