MLB ranks the Pirates as Number 6 in their Pitching Staff Power Rankings entering the 2026 season

league average offense should get them into the playoffs… then teams have to deal with Paul Skenes twice in a 5 game and thrice in a 7 game series… could be pretty interesting…
This staff could easily be 1st too. Just need jones to still have his filthy stuff and chandler to be elite.
If we actually had just decent bats last year then we’d definitely would’ve been contenders
My money is on – PGH climbing this by end of season. Love this staff.
6th in the league without a real 5th starter isn’t bad at all. I think once Jones comes back or Barco takes a leap they could easily be top 3.
This seems a LITTLE high to me…our bullpen is nothing special and there’s a lot of hope in that rotation outside of Skenes and Keller (who is steady) I’d argue it might not even be better than the Cubs or the Reds or the Brewers.
I expect average wins as usual. I don’t care who they signed or the preseason. They gotta prove me wrong. Been too long with this team.
