Is he really a star or is this the typical fast and loose use of the word?
Great time to waste eligibility with a team in the shitter.

Excited to see how he does
With Vaak out I’m curious if he gets into games right away. I kinda wanted them to give Dorrington a shot, but Fortescue is definitely the better prospect.
I’m not gonna begin to psycho analyze why they think morrow needs minutes in the ahl and Sullivan seemingly would rather “urho” while a guy who’s been playing NCAA hockey is ready to play 3rd pair with “will borgen” but in a vacuum, cool that we’re gonna see one of our 5 prospects

The fact Drury doesn’t give a single fuck about a year of ELC control is a lil weird, but this season sucks so bad I do need a small consolation prize
Hope he does well. Plus, he played with Gabe at BC. So those two could reunite their BC chemistry

I’ll say this: It’s harder for defensive defenseman to stand out in NCAA hockey, especially when they’re still growing into their frames. But Fortescue has been a reliably consistent player and he reads plays quickly. There’s a decent chance that Fortescue is one of those guys (like McDonagh) who looks even better in the NHL than he did in college, especially as he continues to get stronger.
I have high hopes for him, not as a top pair guy, but a really reliable middle-pair cog. It may not happen but there’s some potential there as he’s a smart player.
