1. Leafs need that reset to factory settings reset. They need the Oppenheimer nuke.

   On a positive: Matthews breaking the goals record, Tavares getting 500 goals, Gorulx, Cowan, and Hildeby getting experience was dope. Sweeping Pittsburgh including that 3-0 comeback was dope lol. I'm trying to stay positive lol.

   I just wanna see at least 2 more Ws: The St Louis game because I'm going to that game (I already sat through both losses in Detroit) and the Anaheim game for Auston.

5. You know the team dangle. You know they have a bunch of over paid immatures. You know they have useless signings like Dumi. You know Bubbles Trelivings trades and signings have been crap, Dumi, Carlos, Tanev etc. You know Berube is not the coach for the job. You know the D needs a complete over haul. You know that Matthews will not be back in a Leafs jersey this September. You know that Knies because he was considered trade bait to the Habs may go elsewhere this summer. You know that 8 US players on a 23 man roster of a Canadian team implies a lack of Canadian heart and desire to play for a storied franchise. You know that Groulx will be a flash in the pan until he gets a big contract and the foot comes off the gas. You know that 31 other NHL teams with 713 rostered players means the Leafs never did, or never will have the market cornered on all the talent. You know that it takes a "team" to win, not everyone wanting to be the headliner. Its great you've made a living kind of out of being a leafs pitchman/analyst and you know that. I think you also know that fans are just not caring anymore about the Leafs because its more of the same. Hyped up before season, on breaks and then disappointment year after year. Enjoy the Sabres hopefully winning a cup as its probably as close as the team gets for a long time. Unless of course you know they can walk down to the HHOF and have a look at it.

8. As a Bruins fan it's pretty rare for me to want the Leafs to win a few games. Right now they are at around 6-7 for a draft pick. They MUST remain there, Steve. Get on their asses.

I mean cant be worst then what they got now… He knows the players, he knows what needs to get done and even being a hard core fan… He dose think with reason… Plus would be awsome to see a passion coach behind the bench, like the coach in the 80s that threw a bunch of stuff on the ice or even pat burns passion

16. There's no point doing anything during the season. You want this death march to continue to give the best chance possible to salvage a top 5 pick from this train wreck. Sit Knies, maybe Tavares too – anyone that has an injury or might benefit from a shorter season if they're older. Then, if a few things go right next year with injuries and player development, the pick you give Boston or Philly can be a mid 1st instead of a top 6-10.

24. As a B's fan, all I can say is that either Carlo is indeed a spy or that being in Toronto sucked out all the Bruins spirit from him. Both equally plausible.

30. I remember Sens fans getting upset when they traded Karlsson, how that work out for them? Sanderson or Stutle…pretty good. I remember the Sens fans getting upset that the NYI hired Patrick Roy as coach, they’re risking missing the playoffs. I remember Sens fans getting upset when Bérubé signed with the Leafs…how’s that working? I remember the Sens fans dumbfounded when they hired Green…how’s that worked for them? Other than the goaltending and PK, everything has worked out amazingly and those two things are starting to improve. Morale of the story, Staios knows what he’s doing and Sens fans need to stop getting upset on what the Sens are doing. I know I know the Karlsson trade and the draft pick wasn’t from Staios but another thing Sens fans got upset with was 2 draft picks in 2020 and neither resulted in the first or second pick. Bet the Rangers and Kings wish they could do a redraft. I think the 3rd and 5th was exactly what they needed.

36. I am 46 year old Sens fan and for the most of my life, with the exception of maybe Pat Quinn, the Leaf fans have always complained about crappy coaches and ownership/management. Honestly, it’s music to my ears but for someone as Sens fan during 2 distinctly disastrous eras 1992-1996 and 2018-2023 with the same bad coaching, ownership, and management, I do shed a tiny bit of sympathy for you guys. However, as Sens fans have had 2 dark eras the Leafa had only had 1…from 1968 – to be determined at later year.

40. Dark times. Hopefully it's just the darkness before the sun rises. In my perfect dream world somehow they can start to put in some decent pieces after the draft to spur a bit more growth and identity on this team, then by some Miracle when Jon Cooper's contract is up after 26/27 he makes his way to Toronto followed then by McDavid either via trade in that year or the following year through FA – though I teel like Edmonton won't let it get to FA with McDavid and lose him for nothing. A man can dream….heh.
