Totally uncalled for. The pitcher could’ve stretched his arm further for the tag but instead chose to guard his body and hit the runner with an upward thrust, intentionally knocking him off his feet. That’s a football hit not a baseball one.

Reading some of the stories from ppl I’m so lost how stuff like this went unpunished in their leagues. A kid tried to take out our 1B in middle school travel and he got tossed. Kid on my team trucked a catcher and got tossed. This would have for sure gotten a pitcher tossed. Shit I had a teammate get tossed after the conclusion of a game for arguing (an admittedly bad) strike calls to end the game.
