[Shams] The NBA has informed teams that the league is projecting a $165M salary cap for 2026-27 — $1M lower than previous outlooks due to a reduction in local media revenue, sources tell ESPN. Minimum salary ($149M, tax level $201M, first apron ($209M, second apron $222M) also $1M lower each.

It’s still going up $10 million from this year for anyone wondering.
If we don’t make any trades and our goal is to stay under the 2nd tax apron, we have Ant, Rudy, Randle, Jaden, Naz, Donte, Joan, Shannon, and Phillips signed to 190.3 million, so that leaves a little under 32 million to sign Ayo, Bones, a rookie, and two to three more guys.
What teams have the cap space and how much? Just want to know who can poach Ayo from us. Probably only the Mavericks and maybe the Wizards. Utah is likely out since they have to pay Kessler
Is this a recession indicator?
For the unfamiliar, what does all of the above information mean?
How can I afford to feed my family with those numbers.
Assuming it’s related to the Bally Sports bankruptcy, hopefully the NBA will realize it should be easier for a person in a team’s “home” territory to actually watch a game. In Fargo it was impossible to watch a Wolves game for many years unless you had the right cable provider and even then it was an add on. Now you can watch if you subscribe to a streaming service, which for some reason is a separate subscription/app from the the streaming service you can also subscribe to that is named after and streams the rest of the NBA.
