  1. If the Vikings were 3-2 this season after five games, then in the sixth game Murray goes down with a hamstring at halftime, tie game. Who would you put in – Wentz or McCarthy?

  2. Mackey and Sports Flab, two wannabe head coach/general manager experts. Unless you both personally have been in the behind the scene meetings, you actually have no clue what their quarterback plans are. You two are using the illusion of truth effect on us. "Repeat a lie/conjecture often enough and it becomes the truth”. Both of you have missed your true calling – you should have been politicians.

  3. 10:51 ultimately I think it’s unfair to say that they only don’t trust McCarthy, I think they also don’t trust Kyler, they also have no reason to commit to him being the guy with him being on a one year deal. They may have promised him the starting job in order to get him to sign, but the Falcons also probably promised the same thing to Kirk and then they drafted a quarterback, organizations lie to players just as much as they lie to the media and fans. In my opinion, Carson was brought in to have a chance of being a starter, but most likely to be the back up to either Kyler or JJ

  4. Two things: For all the repetitive conjecture on the QB subject, PD is big enough of a show to..I dunno..invite a guest on to try and talk with some of these guys like DJ, Alec, etc. Literally anyone. My biggest gripe with this show of late is the monotonous conjecture on repeated subjects that become gospel to you guys because it's your opinion. The show needs to mix it up now and then or at least hear other sides of the coin on these kinds of things.

Also: If KoC and company are trying to encourage maturity of out of JJ in goofy ways like removing the eyeblack and swag from his on field demeanor, just trade him to a team that'll embrace him. You wanna completely change the guy's personality? Too bad, you chose the wrong guy and your scouting and interview process failed you. Go ahead and find another vanilla, milk-toast, pocket passing QB in a future draft.

  5. Can't take the negative reports from "team sources" at face value and then dismiss positive reports from "team sources". They've all gotta be taken with a grain of salt because we don't know who the sources are. Organizations are not a monolith and you'll never build perfect consensus. No way of knowing for sure which source on which side represents the majority within the building until we see reality play out.

  6. Ofcourse they are going to say to the Kyler's agent that they might have him stay, it is a no cost statement that puts you ahead of other suiters. And yea they fed Pelissero that there's gonna be a competition but also isn't this in their best interest? They are in a situation where they don't need to promise anything to anyone, so why would they?

  7. This is not a matter of trust. It's a matter of unknown. They are clearly hedging against all possibilities. McCarthy comes back and looks great, you have less than $5 mil invested elsewhere and can roll with him w/o consternation. If he comes back and looks terrible, you've got Kyler and Wentz ready to go. And the wild spec about "is John Beck Vikings approved? Is this another disconnect" is so left field it's not even worth discussing.

  8. We have good depth for other positions, why not QB? Like imo you should always have at least 2 starting-caliber QB's, especially if you can afford to.

  9. Was not a big Jessi listener, but your tributes and your honest mourning is very moving. You can't really control a lot of things but you can control who you are and choose to be. Thanks for being yourselves and for the simple honesty in memory of your friend.

  10. Awesome intro!
Aside from that, if it's true that the Vikings are actually bothered by McCarthys face paint, then this franchise is soft AF, and helpless. Good lord.

  11. McCarthy had a 6-4 record could have been 7-3 if special teams didnt blow coverage. This show went down a rally weird path on jumpijg ship from McCarthy. I agree with you Declan.

  12. If KOC hasn't erected JJ. He's not resurrecting Kyler. It was Sam that made KOC look good. He's lost that QB whisperer title in my book.

  13. Shoutout to our expansion buddies, the Columbus Blue Jackets – awesome gesture! And thanks to you all for taking a day to honor Jessi and her family.

  14. I think it’s just like they are reporting . Just want qbs cause look at the last few seasons you need a reliable qb3 . Sometimes the obvious answer is the answer

  15. love you guys and you maybe right about how youre looking at the QB room. i see it as a wide open battle. kyler is far from guaranteed to be the starter. he made the daniel jones move of this year. feels like he can beat out the young kid who is struggling. as far as wentz, there are a lot of potential reasons why he signed here now. maybe he just wants to stay with his childhood team and stay close to home. maybe he knows his shoulder is toast. JJ will either be QB1 or QB2 this year… write it down

  16. First, the “before I die” hits a little harder when we lose a member of our community, not to mention her children. Thoughts and prayers to their family and friends. Makes you want to hug your loved ones a little closer.

Second, let’s not act like Kyler Murray and Carson Wentz are S tier QBs. Kyler has only led his team to a winning record 1 time in 7 years. JJ already did that once in 1 year.

Kyler has never thrown for more than 4,000 yards, and his TD/INT ratio isn’t great. He is also notoriously bad at learning the playbook and KOC has a very difficult system.

This title acts like JJ McCarthy is some worthless piece of shit that doesn’t even register in the QB room anymore. Bro won his last 4 games and was 2 terrible special teams plays away from being 8-2 as a starter. One of those 2 losses the defense gave up 250 rushing yards.

I think it’s most likely we have Kyler as a 1 year band-aid while continuing to develop JJ, but I wouldn’t be shocked if Kyler struggles and JJ comes in. I’m pretty sure KOC would like to play his top 10 drafted 23 year old if he believes he can play at all. It’s not like they just added Josh Allen and Joe Burrow to their team.

Everyone given up on JJ after 10 games when he has a winning record is absolutely wild to me. We don’t deserve to have a franchise QB on this team because no one is patient enough to let one develop.

  17. John Beck is one of the most renowned QB coaches in the country that has worked with Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Matt Ryan and Jared Goff. The fact Judd acts like he’s some random guy kind of points to his lack of actual knowledge

  18. I’d rather lose with McCarthy and draft QB again than stay in competitive purgatory for another five years with Kyler. I fear we will never get a bowl with these owners.

  19. Maybe Wentz comes in to study and become the next QB coach for the Vikings, since there are rumors of our current one getting promoted elsewhere in the future.
