  1. Tigers draft picks on roster:

    2023:  McGonigle

    2022:  0 (Melton on IL)

    2021:  Hurter (Jobe on IL)

    2020:  Tork, Dingler, Keith

    2019:  Greene, Carp

    2018:  Mize, Meadows, Skubal

    2017:  Vest

    2004:  Verlander

Out of 8 relievers, only 2 were drafted by Tigers.

  2. I will say* after this spring training many of the guys are on the team.. I didn’t know they were WITH the team… along with losing the ability to listen to the Tigers (at a fair price) when I followed the spring training games I found more often than not, the players were guys from the minor leagues

*** a lot of this has to do with how the Tigers and MLB decided to double the price of listening to the games**

  3. Who has figured out how to get the games for free. $19.99/month is crazy. I remember when I was 12 I could just watch Tony Clark on like channel 63 or whatever.

  4. This lineup is good enough to win our division imo.

I am looking forward to seeing the possible Jace Jung redemption arc and Colt Keith having a breakout season.

If we can get consistent hitting from Jung and Keith this year it makes the Tigers a real tough team to contend with for a whole series.

  5. It’s funny how Vierling is just there. Haven’t heard anything about him. I love him though.

  6. odd that they don’t list the utilities — Javier Baez, Zach McKinstry, Matt Vierling and just list IF and OF….. I mean, is Baez going to even play more innings at IF with McGonigle on the roster?

  7. Alphabetic order still looks funny to me. Been playing too much the show where players are sorted by rating I guess.

  8. With the opposing pitcher being a righty for game 1, do you all think McGonigle gets the start? I’d play him at third and McKinstry at short. Knowing AJ, I think he’ll start Javey at short and McKinstry at third. Excited to see the line up tomorrow! Go Tigers!

  9. If Skubal and Valdez can start 60 games, we can go 40-20 those games and scrape together the rest. If one has injury, weird struggle year… Shit can get slippery on the pitching side fast

  10. Our pitching looks AMAZING on paper. Jansen has still got it plus Finnegan and Vest. 3 closers in a row plus Holton etc. And we still got guys like Melton Briske Guenther either hurt or in the minors.

KMG will hopefully be the offensive piece we need to take things to the next level.

Riley, Tork, and Carp all go for 40 plus bombs.

We win 100+ games and the World Series!!! Let’s goooooo

  11. I wish I had a reason why I am happy Verlander is on the team.. (I think Valdez will end up being more valuable)

I just like having him in town
