Renewed hope & fading dreams in the NHL playoff race

After being on the outside looking in just days ago, teams like the Ottawa Senators, Columbus Blue Jackets and Nashville Predators find themselves holding playoff spots. Meanwhile, teams like the Detroit Red Wings and San Jose Sharks look like their playoff hopes are slipping away. We discuss the rapidly changing playoff picture, a banner night for Sportsnet’s Gene Principe and more from last night in the NHL.

  1. it's not the first time in the season the sens are in a playoff spot, they were there all the way up until december 🙄 just because you don't pay attention to them doesn't mean they haven't been good. just say you don't care about the east and be done with it

  2. "Are they what they are going to be?"
What a bizarre question – almost every team changes.
But the Sens have been a very solid team all year, their goalies sucked. Now they're getting just Avg goaltending and they're 15-3-2 in their last 20 games.

  3. Tage 100% has the power to rob the Sabres of their good vibes with his politics. He’s like the face of that team, not some fourth line scrub. The fact that he sucks so much really drags the vibes down for me.
