  6. I love the depth on this team. They’re well built for a long season My biggest concern is the is the workloads on Narviez and Contreras. Monasterio should be the platoon at 2B. Can’t wait for Romy to return so I can feel better about the depth at 1B. Overall very excited for the season. I am hyped thi group will play much better fundamental baseball

  12. I'm pumped! A little hesitant on the rotation. Not trying to be negative like you said lol but realistic. There is some proving that needs to be done here. Crochet and Suarez have a great track record pitching in tough divisions, so I know what we'll get there. As for Sonny, I know what he can do, but can he do it in this division? He hasn't fared well in hitter friendly parks and that's our entire division. Brayan Bello finally made his biggest step yet last season with keeping his emotions in check but can he do it again this year. Connely Early I am excited for, he's a rookie, so he's going to have some learning curves this year. Then you have Oviedo, after missing 2024 to injury and coming back to make 9 starts last year. Tommy john takes time to get back, which is why I believe they made the decision to start him in the pen. One more element, there is added pressure to playing in Boston. Sonny stated he hated the pressure he got in New York. How does a rookie fare well with this, how does Sonny or Oviedo do on a big market team. I like our offense; this team is geared towards pitching and defense which is so different from what we're accustomed to. But I think we're going to be top 5 in runs scored and extra base hits, but mid in home runs. If the rotation doesn't live to expectations, which are high, I think most groups have us 4th overall, it's going to be a hard season to watch.

  15. I zero percent surprised about Wong or Masa I expected both of them to be there. If the Sox are willing to swollow money (a lot of it) and Masa can show that he's really good outside of the Tokyo Dome (he had great games there but not so good outside of there) then he might get moved but I don't know he will get that many opportunities unless someone is injured.
    My biggest surprise was Early making the team I admit I was completely wrong about that one I thought they would play for the extra year and let Oviedo start but maybe they are hoping he wins ROY because then we would get another top draft pick (right after the first round, I believe) then maybe it's worth losing the year of control. The other surprise was Kelly not making it but he was the one sacrificed for Early imo so these two go hand in hand.
    🤞 Hopefully we can take another step forward and make it deeper in the playoffs

  21. Masa's contract is too large of an archor, but several teams are waiting to see his performance over at least a couple of months. His value could swing up or down fairly quickly, given their is always some demand for a left-handed hitter. Wong is worth the risk for a backup catcher, and the RS have other internal options. Taylor+Moran+Coulombe could be DFA soon cast offs. The RS defense has quietly improved with Contreras+Meyer. IL update? An Anthony Seigler profile video? Seigler has interesting utility role qualities.

  24. I think it’s safe to say Red Sox improved pitching and defense should translate to an extra 5 wins. Hopefully we won’t lead the league in errors committed.

    Hoping for a rebound from Wong as he really is good with the staff. Masa needs to get off to a hot start as the DH to justify having him on the roster ….

    The rotation is close to if not the best in the AL … the bullpen is pretty solid….just excited to see how this group performs….don't sleep on this team! Let's get this thing started ⚾️👍🏼

  36. I love the roster. I saw greatness in Early many times last season. I am not surprised he made the the major league team. I was told I was wrong about him more than once. His accomplishments show I was right on. You only have to look at his control , command as well as the multiple types of pitches he can throw and its staring you right in the face. I am happy Yoshida is still with the team. He may not have an exact fit with this team but should injuries rear their ugly head as they always do he will prove out to be quite valuable not to mention he is a good hitter. Regarding Wong I am glad his injuries have healed. Last season did not go well for him but many seem to forget the season before when many were not hitting and he continued to not only hit down the stretch but played pretty well overall. He was hurt last year. Lets give him the benefit of a doubt here. Looking forward to opening day. Go Redsox !!!!!!!
