Saw this earlier about that 2011 team. No way this team with Schaub doesn’t win it all that season

  1. I know some people consider the 2012 team to be better, but this team was it for me.

This and that 09 Rockets team at full health win it all without injuries. Well also that CP3 + Harden Rockets team. And if we want to go back very far, if Ralph Sampson didn’t have his career derailed by Kevin Mchale.

Funny (painfully) how often this has happened to Houston teams

  2. I do agree this team, fully healthy would’ve been our greatest team of all time and could’ve competed for a Super Bowl.

I disagree that we would have won the Super Bowl if Matt Schaub was healthy. We would have lost in the AFC Championship game in Foxborough.

  3. Meh

We had a all world RB, a great o-line, a better TE, and although hurt we had Andre.

Plugging him into this offence might not be the slam dunk people think it is.

  4. This was the team that could have won it all without Schaub getting hurt. High level offense and a top 2 defense.

  5. Yeah Schaub was balling that year. They such good balance with the offense and defense. Fuck Fat Albert all day everyday

  6. Hot take:

Frankly I think both years were paper tigers and that this fanbase copes with the Schaub injury. 2011 was less of a paper tiger than 2012, however.

No DL depth or truly notable talent past Watt, no LB talent past Cushing, one good CB, no safeties, mediocre receivers after AJ80 and Daniels, one great RB, a great OL, and an average QB elevated by his supporting cast, but not the other way around.

Those squads were always doomed unless Gary Kubiak had done the right thing and chased **Peyton Manning**.

Add Peyton and the “what if” turns into celebrating a guaranteed 2012 championship squad.

  7. I still remember being at Los Cucos Mexican restaurant and seeing on the TV Shaub was out for the season with a lisfranc injury 😭
