First ever ABS challenge in a season and we missed it for an interview that added nothing of value
prove it
Great not like the history we would’ve wanted was the face of someone we don’t give a shit about. All cool.
Fuck Netflix
Thanks Netflix, I love missing history
Why does baseball even do in-game interviews? All the other sports do them in between quarters or something like that
HISTORIC
This broadcast is genuinely a fucking mess.
This broadcast is sooooooo bad, but not nearly as bad as this strike zone is.
Welcome back, baseball fans.
First ABS challenge in MLB history
Netflix:

It’s clear that the last thing Netflix wants to show on this broadcast is the baseball part.
Why do the announcers have to be polite and not interrupt an interviewer? Cut their mic and show the historic thing that is happening. Every video package, mid-game interview, or whatever else should have the equivalent of a sneeze button, where they just end it and jump into a broadcast moment.
How can a scorebug be so big and small at the same time
This is one of the worst sports broadcasts I’ve ever seen
Objectively annoying. Just show the goddamn game! But also “Bill Miller staying perfect” overlaid with him blowing an obvious ball is pure cinema.
“staying perfect” right when strike 2 is called on the next pitch sure is something lol
Miller called the next pitch a strike out of spite. 😂😂😂
Actual historical moment in the game and it wasn’t even shown lol
Should’ve challenged the next one
This production sucks
Btw the ump immediately called the next ball a strike…
Every fucking inning an on field interview or bit instead of actually showing the fucking game!!
Why cant they just show the game? Matt sounded so excited before hand about how the 1st one was going to be history and THEY BLEW IT
Director is as dumb as bricks for this
Hope it’s not an experienced sports broadcast director cause that was a total rookie mistake lol
Followed up by the worst strike call lmao
Can we stop on field interviews during the game please. It adds nothing and actively takes away the immersion of the game.
What the fuck are we doing? Interviews in the middle of the game?
Commenting on every clip b/c posts are seemingly being moderated out:
Green screen ads look like shit.
My favorite part was how the next pitch was an even worse ball called a strike
“staying perfect” as he calls a pitch a strike that is a full ball width inside is really funny
I never want Netflix near another baseball game.
Lol during a fucking asinine mid-inning interview , how perfectly shitty
Lmao ump immediately retaliating with and even worse call.
Netflix needs to just never do this ever again
What is up with that CF camera? It looks like the lens is dirty
Next pitch was a ball lol ump clearly retaliated
Best part is how dogshit the call right after was
Shoulda challenged that second pitch lol
It’s literally the first game. We’ve had nothing but interviews for months. No one wants talking.
They literally spent more time talking about who the new ABS system is **Powered By** than explaining how it was utilized in its inaugural deployment
and it was ruined by netflix
Netflix production had no idea what ABS was
It’d be great TO SEE THE FREAKING REPLAY OF IT YOU JACKASSES
Love that the next pitch was a wrong call.
In innings interviews are so annoying and pointless.
I hate national baseball broadcasts. They never shut the fuck up. It’s baseball on tv. I can see what’s happening. It doesn’t require constant banter from the broadcasters like radio does. It’s distracting and I hate it. Baseball on tv requires restraint, which is how most of the regional broadcasts are.

And they didn’t even fucking show it, infuriating
