  1. Couldn’t ask for a better opening day win. Nearly a perfect game besides the error.

  2. Mayer and Anthony so far in 2026:

5 for 6, 1 walk, 3 runs scored (100% of total team runs)

    The future is here.

  3. took a while to get runs on the board, but a lot to like on opening day. the pitching looks fantastic. let’s go red sox.

  4. Roman Anthony got on base 4 times, while Aaron Judge struck out 5 times last night. AL MVP race is over. lol

  5. Well that went really freaking good. Starter was basically perfect the bullpen was basically perfect. The young guys were hitting. Meyer looked great.

Obviously lack of extra bass hits is an optimal but everything else was just how you’d ask for it to go.

  6. Great all-around team win. Can’t ask for much more on Opening Day. Gonna be a fun season for us.

  7. Just a good solid win.

    Great pitching. Small ball.

Left some runners on, gotta drive them home.

    162-0 incoming.

  8. Pig gets his first W on the new contract, Marcelo argues his status as a d2d starter, Story, Lizard, and Raf each drive in one, Roman shows off his bat and his knowledge of the zone on the challenge, pen was nails. Can’t ask for much more than that

  9. Game positives:

    – Crochet grinding through 6 shutout innings

    – back end of the pen doing everything we expect outta them

    – Celo and Roman getting on base a combined 6 times

    – Duran and Abreu getting a combined 3 hits off lefties

    – Only 7 strikeouts all game

    – Ceddy and Story being clutch

    Negatives:

    – none, we won, everything is beautiful baybay

  10. Thanks MLB for screwing me over saying I don’t have a subscription yet it shows I clearly do and not letting me watch the game greatest start this season…. But I’m glad to see the pitch challenge is already paying off

  11. Sabremetrics says that if you don’t give up any runs, you’ll win a lot of games.

    The hidden stat of baseball.

  12. Felt 1000x better watching this win than a Yankee did yesterday with a 7-0 win. Win is a win but the Yankees have some definite holes

  13. Crochet didn’t even look the best and still did well. Slaten, Whitlock, and Chapman did what we expected, and Anthony going 3-4 with the perfect challenge was amazing! I saw some good counts, good swings that just didn’t make contact. I’m excited!

  14. That’s the type of win the Red Sox built this team to replicate over and over again. Roman Anthony and Garrett Crochet are my literal children and I will die for them both. Thank you to your attention to this matter.
