Why all the interest in Skenes at this point. The Yankees have potentially one of the best pitching staffs in the Majors. Not just when Cole and Rodon come back, but later in the season when Schmidt comes back and then maybe this year, and definitely next season when LaGrange, Rodriguez and Hess may be up. It seems they should spend their money or trade capital on a third baseman or shortstop in the next few years.
