Reminder: No WR separation last season was a HUGE reason why Jayden got hurt last season

Can you explain what this means ?

Tate is good outside the numbers and gets separation, but I gotta be honest I like Tyson better as a complete package.
After FA, foregone conclusion 7 or 71 will be WR.
I mean, this is no surprise. We are definitely taking a wide receiver in the draft whether that’s 7 or 71. Our best receiver is Terry and he’s going to be 31 in the start of next season that can’t be our wide receiver one for the long-term. We already had top 30 visits with Lemon, Tate, and Boston. We also did an interview with Tyson at the combine.
Chris Moore really led our WRs in snaps from Week 3-11.
I am begging the universe to let us land someone like Ted Hurst, Elijah Sarratt, or somehow Chris Bell at 71 if we don’t go WR at 7
Been said this shit, was trying to explain this to an absolute fucking NOOB (specifically speaking about McLaurin), that clearly couldnt understand no receivers got any seperation at all, makes it EASY to get to the QB when your receivers arent open at all.
Those saying not to draft a WR at 7 are absolutely bonkers. I dont care what world you live in Terry isnt a true No 1, hes an ELITE No2, but hes never had true game changing speed as we see other teams with true 1s, and we need that desperately here. We need a game changing ball hawk who can take games on his shoulders and heat off lesser options.
We’ve done a good bit to build out the floor of the WR room, but they have the same data we do, they gotta get a high end WR outta this draft.

Is this a WR issue or scheme issue?
This is a Kliff stat.
A big part of the reason our WRs. Got no separation were the concepts we were running. Go back and watch that Green Bay game. We were running a bunch of digs and sticks.
That’s why Terry has so many contested catches because he can’t get open
😂😂😂😂😂 yeah, ok…
It’s okay to place accountability on Jayden Daniels.
I mean the WR separation was a problem and part that can be explained by the lack of motion pre snap and the other part being players like Zach ertz and Chris Moore having to start.
The elbow injury was trying to extend a play that was busted from the start (our WR was supposed to pick the DB covering bates. The LB mugging bates was sent on a blitz interrupting Jayden’s throwing lane) 2nd goal on the 3 yard line Jayden has to throw it away.
The hamstring injury was on Chris Paul not passing off his DT to Biadsz. Jayden could’ve gotten the ball off to ertz behind the blitzing LB or got it in the flat to the RB I guess but they sent 5 and we should’ve had that picked up.
I’m not saying it wasn’t a problem last year or a non issue but it’s misleading to attribute jaydens injuries to this stat when it came down to poor play execution and Jayden’s struggle with pressure last season.
Cause he wasn’t throwing ppl open?
This is one of the dumber things I have seen today, which is saying something
The same reason Ben Sinnott is basically a ghost
So get the guy who’s always open in Lemon
Didn’t Jayden also have the most drops at one Point in the season
I mean, his receivers were all practice squad guys
Well I’m sure Peters understands this and doesn’t want to risk his qb at year 3 to go through another season where he can’t throw because his guys can’t get open.
Excuses excuses. He made bad decisions resulting in 3 of his 4 injuries in 2025.
There may be reasons why RG3 got hurt or didn’t work out. Doesn’t matter. He’s out of the league. And yes I’m aware JD is actually good at QB.
JD’s health is largely up to JD. He said he had to think about if he learned anything from 2025. Hopefully he did so.
I don’t mind us taking a WR in the first, but they damn well better hit if they do. We can’t waste a pick that high on a subpar or bust prospect at that point
Really, our WR 2 and 6 couldn’t get it done?
Well isn’t this AP’s fault? Deebo was never a good separator and there’s a reason bums like Chris Moore are bums
