  3. The leafs need to fire all of its management before they destroy the best thing we have seen in almost 60 years. Also, the players you said would be with Matthews would likely need to be included in a trade to get him along with a couple very high 1st rounders.

  5. Hes not coming to the Ducks. We have a plethora of center options. We got our 40 goal pace scorer on the 3rd line. The problem with Matthews is hes expensive and a younger player slightly worse is a much better bet for most teams.

    It makes no sense for Anaheim to get a goal scoring center. Then what, you move Leo down? Hes the future, no thanks. Doesnt make a lick of sense. As a Ducks fan, we're all good here. I like our current roster just fine.

  7. There’s nothing to talk about yet Son. Are you this desperate for clicks? If he gets traded it’s likely next offseason, not anytime soon.

  9. One reason to aquire him for the Ducks from their perspective is if you are giving up on Mason McTavish. They've been hoping McTavish would become a #2 center for them. That hasn't happened. If anything this yr he's taken a step back & most recently was held out as a healthy scratch because his offense disappeared recently.

    So, if you're concerned he won't ever truly emerge from this, then you pull the trigger & go get Auston Matthews.

    That being said McTavish still can be a decent #3 center & he's fairly productive in his own way. Just not #2 center material atm.

    Auston Matthews AND Leo Carlsson as your top 2 centers, now that's dangerous & the ticket!

  12. Word of warning for people about wanting mathews. After scoring 69 goals and later becoming captain he has 4 goals in the last 25 playoff games and 1 goal in the last 15 games he played this season, 0 goals as captain of 4 nations , 0 goals as captain olypics in the non preliminary games against peewee bantam players. That 5 goals in his last 47 most important games. All while being played with some of the best in the world. Austin is an absolute ghost when it matters. Its why usa lost 4 nations its why they should of lost olympics and its certainly why the leafs only won 2 series in 11 tries.
