New owner has changed how we do business for the better.
Rubenstein, indeed was not kidding about wanting to bring a title back to Baltimore. It would be my dream to say that the baltimore orioles have won a world series more recently than seven years before I was born l o l
they must have a lot of faith in this kid
Good coverage Connor.
Taking these contracts before the lock out is smart. When the salary cap/floor comes there will be less money to go around. Good bye 300,400 and 500 million dollar payrolls.
Potential potential he has proven nothing so far he’s getting what most likely he deserves at best.
I hope the Orioles becomes an AL version of the Dodgers in the next 2-4 years: fantastic farm system, great international presence, tons of money in FA & extensions.
This is great, but is Baz any good?😅
Everytime we make a move people complain and say we need to sign Gunnar, and they're not wrong. But Gunnar wants to win, he doesn't want to be the Mike Trout of Baltimore. It doesn't matter how much money we offer him if he thinks that we won't also pay other players. Moves like this can only help us in negotiations
nice ,lock em in !!!
A 5 year extension for a guy who has yet to throw a pitch for the Orioles.
He missed the entire 2023 season and the first half of 2024 season due to Tommy John.
In his first full MLB season last year he had a 4.87 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP.
As a reminder, Elias already gave up 5 prospects for Baz, including 3 elite prospects.
Hopefully they’re talking to Trevor Rodger’s agent
