[Begley] Miles McBride remains on track to return to the court during the current road trip, possibly as soon as Sunday. McBride was ruled out of CHA game on Friday a day before tipoff; Sunday’s game vs OKC has not yet been ruled out for him, per SNY sources.

  1. Deuce was playing at a 6th man of the year level before his injury it will be great to have him back so he can get as many games under his belt before the playoffs. Hopefully Shamet comes back soon after so Mike Brown can start to lock in what his playoff rotation looks like.

  5. Knicks need McBride to get reps in the regular season to be ready for the playoffs because I don’t think Shamet will be back until the very end of the season if at all.

    Even then, I don’t expect Shamet to have his regular wind and he most likely won’t be trusted to play the minutes he was getting prior to the injury when Brown really stepped up his playing time.

    The injury may be a blessing in disguise though as Shamet was running out of gas and the results clearly indicated as such.

    Shamet and McBride’s shooting will be crucial if they are to have any hope in the playoffs.

    If one of the two are not available and only Clarkson is available as that other auxiliary shooter, I don’t think that’s enough.

    Knicks will need to rotate all three consistently in the playoffs to stand a chance.

  7. Yo I’m hoping the team (and the fanbase) give deuce a little time to get back in rhythm once he starts playing again.

    Everyone is talking like he turns us from an overrated 3/4 seed to the undisputed best team in the east… and that’s a lot of pressure for a dude.

  10. I’d be shocked if he plays Sunday, but I can see him playing after that.

  14. last couple times he can,e back he showed rust for the first few games… giving him 5+ games before the playoffs will be great
