  1. I don’t know how much to take from those Spurs games because they were all so close together and they happen to be right when OKC was going through a big slump

  2. McCain’s movement has reminded me of Curry since he was drafted. When he got hurt I was genuinely upset…then I saw him dancing on TikTok and I didn’t care to much anymore. Love his game! Best of luck to him.

  3. I'd argue he did not solve the Thunder's biggest issue, because the Thunder's biggest issue is they need their best defenders to shoot better. Their loss to the Celtics showed that McCain is unplayable defensively vs. the few teams that can match the Thunder's talent depth in any meaningful capacity. The thunder needed guys like Caruso and Wallace on the floor to match boston defensively, but Boston was able to just leave those guys alone completely on defense and over-index on Shai. When those guys make threes, that isn't an issue, the problem is that they aren't good enough 3 point shooters to punish this consistently. That's why they lost multiple times to the spurs and played two close games with the Celtics.

INCREDIBLE regular season pickup though, like he's insane vs. teams that aren't loaded like Boston/San Antonio/OKC that can't stylistically attack OKC like Boston/San Antonio can (though they do it differently due to personnel)

  4. JARED MCCAIN IS TUFF I JUST CANT ROCK WIT NOBODY PAINTING THEIR NAILS FR💯💔💔HIM & D WADE TOO FELL OFF TO ME👎🏾

  5. This is where im at with it. I know they're the raining chimps but they're gonna have to show me they can beat san antonio who I look at as the favorites to win it all in my mind

  6. Awesome breakdown and analysis! I can’t stress enough how amazing this kid is. His IQ is insane and his fundamentals are elite, he has similar skill set to Pritchard in terms of shooting but he doesn’t dribble as much which is a good thing because he has a similar skill set to Steph in terms of off the ball movement. He has an outrageous skill set offensively and its foundation lies on such elite fundamentals however his IQ and understanding and feel for the game is what makes him such a dynamic threat. In terms of how it affects the thunder, it really gives coaches on the other team a headache because they now have to plan for 5-6 players offensively and perhaps it’s a bit of a tactical overload. Conversely, his defense is definitely his weak point, not a “bad” defender by any means, he’s a drop in quality from most the other guards and wings on the side and in the playoffs, would teams attack that? It’s a fascinating proposition because like stated in the video, Wallace, Dort and Caruso to an extent are really deficient in those offensive qualities. Either way, these playoffs on both conferences are going to be so fun!

  7. For McCain to just step right in the rotation of a championship team and average double figures is REALLY impressive. You can't do that unless you're extremely talented offensively. he can score at all three levels but I think the main thing Presti was trying to address is how poorly OKC shot 3s in the playoffs last year and McCain should help since he's hitting 44% on threes since coming here. Adding Mitchell and McCain to this year's playoff run is like pouring gas on a fire. I don't think anybody understands what's coming.
