Listening to Will Fleming and his negative whinnying makes me go ahead and get MLB TV this year. I don’t mind change. I loved Joe Castiglione, but I understand he’s gone. Bring anybody but will Flemming to call those radio games
CB Buckner is a DEI umpire.
Story sux A$$
That was just unlucky in the 11th, not much you can do about that, however, story’s error early in the game came back to haunt them.
Some early season observations: 1) Chapman doesn't look anything like his '25 form. 2) Gray & Suarez may be negatively affected by the cold weather. That's gonna lead to fan pressure on Breshlow. 3) Mayer may end up being the best defensive 2nd baseman the team has seen since Bobby Doer. 4) The Sox showed some real fight in this game. That'll play huge as the season wears on. 5) I can see why they liked reliever Watson. He has great stuff. Hope he survives the growing pains. 6) Anthony might take some heat for the 2nd ABS challenge – and others as the season continues, but the Sox shouldn't try to compromise his decisions. That 2nd challenge could not have been any closer. Kid has as amazing eye.
What was Gray thinking in that first inning? Throwing the ball at the player would get him out?!?!
Could the ump have had a worse game behind the plate?
The new NESN bug sucks ass. Known fact: one of the worst color combinations for text on background is white on red which causes eye fatigue and is difficult for visually impaired viewers. Know who has a really nice score bug? San Diego Padres. Samll, concise, and even has the number of ABS challenges remaining for each team.
Roman needs to be hitting 3rd or cleaning up. If he's the guy they always show hitting HRs from the minors, it's time to start doing it! Waste at lead-off, and Story? I'm sick of this guy for 4 years now!! WHY is he hitting 2nd?! last year he placed 5 to 8 WHAT GIVES!!!!!!!!
So much for run prevention.
Unfortunate calls after the loss of both our challenges
tough one but you gotta love the fight from behind a few runs
Let's go Red's!
I thought pitching and defense was what the owners always talk about? Well pitching wasn't very good and defense wasn't great either. Is Story having trouble throwing all the way to 1st? Even his second throw was very low.
Gray – you are bad! Team which can't win in extra is bad team! And it starts with groc – get rid of Cora! So against WBC – it's screws everything up! Weissert Watson slaton – bad for Red Sox! It's beginning of season for pitchers – pitch better especially Bull pen!
Roman anthony cant throw
mr.Shinyhead Needs to go back to A-ball and practice looking at pitches
Gray was bad. And in the 10th Anthony needs to move that runner over with no outs. Striking out cannot happen. If he’s going to be the “guy” he cannot miss on those opportunities. And Cora, please get Story out of number 2. Strikes out too much for that spot. Hit him sixth behind Contreras and Abreu. Put Durbin at 2. Even though he has no hits, he puts the ball in play.
Ehhh looks like Yankees Sonny Gray
Nesn, your score box sucks. Hard to read the important stuff and too much unnecessary crap like giant team logos.
Reds unis look sweet
The big problem I see is if a team uses up their ABS challenges early the ump has free reign to be horrible, which this guy certainly was.
