🚨MAJOR Miami Dolphins NFL Draft Rumors That Dolphins Fans Will LOVE!

Miami Dolphins NFL Draft rumors are starting to pick up as the 2026 NFL Draft is 26 days away. NFL Draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah speculated that Ohio State safety Caleb Downs isn’t a lock to go inside the top 10 and his floor is the Dallas Cowboys at pick 12. Dolphins fans will love this idea because Downs would be a perfect Dolphins draft target at the 11th overall pick. Dolphins Today host Nic Rohloff has a Caleb Downs scouting report and gives the reasons why Jon-Eric Sullivan should draft Caleb Downs in the 1st round if available. Daniel Jeremiah on Caleb Downs:
ā€œIt’s a tricky one. I like Downs a lot, he’s 8th overall on my list but the safety position is tricky. Derwin James didn’t go in the top 10, Kyle Hamilton didn’t go in the top 10, if Nick Emmanwori fell to the 2nd round, which is insane, I don’t know if you can say it’s a lock Downs is guaranteed to go in the top-5, even top-10. I would say the floor for me is probably the Cowboys at 12. Maybe more in that range. He’s not 6’4ā€, 220 lbs, he didn’t have 6 or 7 interceptions. He’s just darn good, consistent, a force multiplier in terms of the communication and the leadership. It’s just the safety position could be a little fickle on draft day.ā€

Caleb Downs career stats:
257 TKL, 16 TFL, 18 PBU, 6 INT, 3 FF, 1 FR

Caleb Downs measurements:
Height: 5’11.6ā€
Weight: 206 lbs
Arm Length: 30.25ā€
40-YD: Didn’t run

  1. Are u kidding me?? Downs falls to 11???? That’s a 10!!!!!! Hoping Bain falls too!!! Downs at 11. Thieneman will never make it to 30. Doesn’t matter. Now if we end up trading back? Definitely

  2. It depends if Sullivan/ Hafley see Safety have the positional value. Of those first ten mock picks the only one that has lower value is the RB Love. A lot of people don’t consider that top safeties get around 20 million compared to outside CBs Edge demand twice as much. So which makes more sense for a top pick to have on a rookie deal for four years. Something to consider

  3. Bain Jr/Styles are the only defensive players I personally would want the Phins to take at 11, otherwise there are OL and WR's that would be more beneficial to the team. I also think the kid from Oregon, I don't want to butch his name, will be as good as Downs, and he could very well be available at 30.

  4. Disagree in downs, special player with all pro potential you don’t pass on those types position value be damned.. the goal is to hit and hit often on good to great players, stop getting consumed with positional value it will get you nowhere

  5. If Downs is there at 11 you SPRINT to the podium. He’s the best player in this class pound for pound and our Safety room is the worst in the NFL

  6. I was in Caleb Downs is a no-brainer decision to pick. If he’s there at 11 that is one of our worst positions currently that needs to be filled.
