ESPN’s Courtney Cronin on the Bears’ draft needs:
“Top three needs: EDGE, S, C. The Bears didn’t use free agency to sign a star defensive end, so all signs point toward using an early draft pick on a player to start opposite Montez Sweat. Chicago hasn’t used a first-round pick on an edge rusher since drafting Leonard Floyd at No. 9 in 2016, but given the depth of the position in this draft class, the Bears are in good position to address a major need early.”
Chat Sports host Harrison Graham’s top Bears needs:
#1: Safety
#2: EDGE Rusher
#3: Defensive Tackle
#4: Center
#5: Cornerback
#6: Left Tackle

ESPN NFL Draft Analyst Jordan Reid on the Bears:
Prospect to fill a need outside Round 1: Dani Dennis-Sutton. A well-put-together edge rusher, Dennis-Sutton is a versatile prospect who checks a lot of the boxes for a Dennis Allen-led defense. His strength against the run and his traits as a pass rusher fit the scheme and provide a boost at a position of need.

What’s the Bears biggest need entering the draft?
I’m not worried about Edge. Remember…we have a motivated DO
ZY
Best S in the draft imo is Caleb Downs
Edge edge edge
S
Safety, but, you can grab a really good one with pick 57 or 60
Edge is the pick at 25, agree… love those 2!!
AM
In the past you'd see four Edge's drafted the first 15 picks. In a lousy QB and RB class, I just don't see any of these four dropping to #25.
Totally agree at Safety… studs!
Yes lost a blocking tight end. But Ben Johnson offense needs two great receiving tight ends. So take a look at Local player. Tanner Koziol. Fourth- fifth round. Would be perfect.
Why do you not talk of jalon kilgore
AM man
34. Kayden McDonald
DT Ohio State
trade-icon
57. Genesis Smith
S Arizona
60. Dani Dennis-Sutton
EDGE Penn State
65.Parker Brailsford
OC Alabama
trade-icon
89.Jadarian Price
RB Notre Dame
129. Tristan Leigh
OT Clemson
239. CJ Daniels
WR Miami (FL)
241. Behren Morton
QB Texas Tech
What about Joshua Josephs?
Biggest need is edge or DT…. Then safety. If we can’t stop the run… at the line… or rush the qb… at the line… the safety becomes pointless. We were horrid this last year at both And paid the price even WITH an all-pro safety.
Day 2 Edge: either Gabe Jacas or Derrick Moore, but what if we drafted 2 very good-great S & try converting 1 to CB? Just a thought. I still think if we dont move up to get either a S or Edge, then its a DT & a possibility of trading back a few spots to pick up an extra 3rd or 4th rd pick & using 1 of those with 1 of ours to move back up
Kinda hopeful to trade up for david bailey. Then haulcey or ramsey. At Saftey.
Now here's are real needs, in order. Safety, CB, LT, DT, Edge, C, WR. A Center ahead of LT is liking putting us TE before WR. Parsons and Hutchinson will feast on Caleb after eating Braxton Jones or Willis Jr. as an appetizer. Jaylon has slowed down. Stevenson is not a #2 CB. Going up against Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. Amon St. Brown and Jameson
Williams. 1,400 yards and 1,100 yards. If you're a smart Bears fan, you understand what I'm saying. BEAR DOWN AND GO MICHIGAN WOLVERINES. FINAL 4 BABY!!
We definitely need to add the best young stud edge in the fold early I think. And if those two are gone I'd like to see Gabe Jacas edge out of Illinois. This dude is legit great energy and motor. A Safety and DT early to would be nice then a Center. Chicago up Da BEARS 💯 FGB
zy
T.J Parker is better than you think and all the others will be gone but one.
Im stoked that the bears defense get to bolster that side with young, fast defenders.
Sutton is expected to go early to mid 2nd round. I wouldn't be upset AT ALL if we draft him at #25. He can be Montez Sweats replacement for the 2027 season. Booker & Sutton would be great! I promise that Dennis Allen likes Sutton more than Zion Young. I wouldn't be upset if we drafted DE Lawrence at #25. C Bradbury, will be are starter for 2 years. He's 30 and was the starting C for the Superbowl Patriots team last season. At #25 No to Zion Young, Peter Woods, Caleb Banks.
Love both Parker and Faulk but don't think they will be there at 25. Like Young more then Mesidor but don't like ether in the 1st round.
The Godfather day 3 edge
What about Nadame Tucker, from Western Michigan? Not great against the run, but delivers sacks and pressures consistently at a very high rate. Great day 3 pick if the Bears can get a 5th.
I’m falling in love with the idea of Mesidor falling. But if not him then Derrick Moore for sure
If Faulk drops then I would mind him but I think that if we draft him then we need to double down with a Deni or Moore.
I like tj parker
Trading down is a good option. Down to the top of Second round and add additional picks.
How about Zion Young (1st), Zakee Wheatley (2nd), Sam Hecht (2nd) – as top 3 picks?
Definitely no on Keldrick Faulk. He's done nothing last year.
Bears like Keonte Scott, he can play nickel or safety and blitzes well. Dennis Allen loves guys like that.
