Man, thats a heavy title to put on him after 3 games, hopefully he reinforces that hes earned it.
All I see is a prototypical whiny local sports columnist. Who’s also ignoring the fact that the Padres (and every other team who had a draft pick) had a shot at Kevin and passed it up. To make it even funnier, in 2024, the Padres included their first round pick, Dillon Head, in their package to get two years of Luis Arraez.
So maybe don’t complain so much about the system, lol. It’s working just fine. Dillon Head, btw, has a .685 OPS in the minors and 7 home runs over 578 AB and hasn’t cracked AA.
