Welcome to Mock Draft Monday, which will be refreshed every Monday up until the 2026 NFL Draft is over. This thread will serve as the only post permitted on r/Seahawks to discuss the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft. All other posts regarding the draft will be removed and referred to this post.

– As you discuss prospects on the sub, try and avoid definitive, absolute statements like "There is no way the Seahawks take Jaxson Dart in the first", or "Tyler Booker is a lock if he makes it that far". Statements like this stonewall discussion, and can lead to hostility. Also, you tend to look like an idiot when that thing you swore adamantly would never happen, happens. Please, feel free to disagree with other posters, but remember, none of us are actually making the draft decisions*, and none of us have a time machine, so all of us are probably wrong.

– This thread is for discussion of the NFL Daft and that is it. Free agency discussions will be removed unless it ties into the draft selection dynamic. All other questions about the draft belong in the Daily Thread.

– Keep it civil and report toxic behavior. Any form of toxicity will result in ALL of your posts being removed from the thread. If you don't know the rules on how toxicity works, read the rules page.

  1. So I’ve run about 50 mock drafts in the past week (procrastinating my academic work). This is essentially my “small board” of players I tend to consider at each spot (please give me any thoughts or pushback as I’d love to discuss and I’m no expert!). I’m only going to do the first 3 rounds as I’m no analyst and am not good at evaluating lower-round talent, and afterwards will throw in some other players I’ve tended to take a look at.

Our first-order needs, according to most analysts, are CB, EDGE, and RB; we’ve lost players here that we’d like to replace if possible. Second-order needs is a bit dicier, but I generally would argue for IOL (Bradford has one year left on his contract and we’re aware of his consistency) and S (we’re currently starting Ty Okada, who is great, but I’d prefer slightly more support). With this in mind, I’m going to discuss the primary players I’ve generally seen falling to us at each pick in simulations.

    Pick 32 (R1):

Trade? Obviously, JS loves a trade down, and we traded out of 32 in 2014. This really depends on who would want to come up and who they would want to grab. The best argument I’ve seen is for Pittsburgh throwing us something like 85, 121, and 161 to leapfrog AZ and NYJ and grab Ty Simpson, which seems pretty logical. I’ll discuss what we could do in the fourth round or so below.

CB (y’all should know most of these by now):
Avieon Terrell / Clemson: A lot of analysts have us taking him, but my simulations never have him fall to us
Colton Hood / Tennessee: This, on average, my pick.
Brandon Cisse / SCAR: Either of the above would be solid. Hood tends to be rated a bit better across the board, but both are excellent outside corners I’d be stoked to grab.

    EDGE:
Akheem Mesidor / Miami: I don’t think he falls to us, but despite being on the older side, he’s a plug-and-play guy who would easily slot into rotation.
TJ Parker / Clemson: Most unlikely of the bunch IMO; probably doesn’t fall our way and possibly not worth the value over a CB. Now I’ve said that we’ll end up drafting him, and I wouldn’t complain at all.
Zion Young / Mizzou: We’ve hosted a visit with him, he’s in the right range, and has great production.
Cashius Howell / TA&M: Doesn’t tend to fall to us but seems solid.
Malachi Lawrence / USF: Might be a bit of a reach; would love to grab him at 64, or maybe at the top of the 2nd should we trade down.

    RB:
Jadarian Price / ND ?? This would be a bit of a reach, and JS really doesn’t like to take RBs in the 1st. He may fall to us in the 2nd.

    Other:
Emanuel McNeil-Warren / S, Toledo: May or may not fall to us, but the kind of freak athlete DB we’d love to develop.

    Pick 64 (R2):

    CB:
D’Angelo Ponds / Indiana: He’s a beast on the field but he is also 5’9, so I really don’t know on this one. Don’t think he falls to 64, anyway.
Keionte Scott / Miami: More of a slot/nickel guy, so I don’t love it.
Keith Abney II / ASU: Decent, but penalty-prone, which is the opposite of what we want.
Treydan Stukes / AZ: A bit old but looks solid.

    EDGE:
Derrick Moore / Michigan: Great pass-rusher who I think would be excellent in rotation.
Gabe Jacas / Illinois: Lacks finesse but a solid all-rounder. Would love him to fall to us but doubt it.
Dani Dennis-Sutton / PSU: Hell of an athlete but a bit rough around the edges. Nothing MM and co. can’t fix.

RB – Here’s where it gets a bit interesting:
Mike Washington Jr. / Arkansas: PFF hates the guy, most others like him and he is matched to us very frequently by analysts. What carries him is his athleticism: he’s not as explosive as K9 but he’s the closest we’ll get. I still take him most of the time with this pick.
Jonah Coleman / UW: Consistent, but not explosive. I know he’s the home guy but R2 is a reach; maybe at 96.

    Other:
I would love a player like Chris Johnson, R Mason Thomas, or maybe even Jadarian Price here, but they don’t seem to fall to us. I’m taking one of these three positions here though.

    Pick 96 (R3):

    CB:
Davison Igbinosun / tOSU: Would love for him to fall to us here, but he has 30 penalties in 4 years…
Malik Muhammad / UT: My favorite here. Just a solid player all-around, though he is a bit slight.
Devin Moore / UF: Pretty good but a bit injury-prone.

    EDGE:
Joshua Josephs / Tennessee: Doesn’t tend to fall to us, but could be good with some training.
LT Overton / Alabama: The most likely option here. He’d do the job.

    RB:
Coleman and Johnson are often still in play at this point. I take one of them here if I still need RB. Other options are a bit of a reach here. Depends if you want to guarantee either of these in R2, as they won’t always fall this far.
You could also consider someone like Seth McGown out of Kentucky here, who PFF likes a lot. I’m just not sure he provides that much value over Holani / McIntosh, for instance.

If we trade down from R1, we usually end up with an extra R3/high R4 pick to play with. This is where I turn to IOL or S. Players I’ve considered here include:
Zakee Wheatley / S, PSU: I really like the guy. Old and not the most athletic, but has great production against tough competition in college. That non-flashy consistency is key to our secondary depth.
Jalon Kilgore / S, SCAR: Another Demonwori reunion and seemingly a fan favorite around here. Strong Safety type I’d love to pick up if it pans out that way.
Bud Clark / S, TCU: I’ve seen him mocked to us before; seems decent.
IOLs I’ve grabbed include Jake Slaughter (UF), Logan Jones (Iowa), Jalen Farmer (Kentucky), and Billy Schrauth (ND). Nothing much to say here, but they’re the right position at the right spot.

Finally, some other players I like taking later on (4th round plus):
Charlie Demmings / CB, Stephen F. Austin: Athlete from a small FCS school. Could develop well?
VJ Payne / S, K-State: Similar story; Brandon Nelson likes the guy a lot, and I was convinced.
Tyreak Sapp / EDGE, UF: If we need an EDGE late on, could be an option.

Sorry for being so long, just some thoughts. Would love to hear what any of y’all think! Back to mocking now…
