Love or not, Pollard and Spears are in the final years of their contracts.

Bring back the king
I don’t think anyone disagrees that running the ball effectively is important. It’s just that oline play has a much bigger impact on it than the rb does
This picture/graphic is awful, just scroll over and show the rushing stats. “We were so good running the ball, here are the passing stats.”
But yeah, we were dominant running the ball to end the year.
100% an effective running game has proven to take mediocre QBs and take their play to the next level. Tannehill is a great example, (not saying Cam Ward is mediocre but this is one example of many). But if this post is meant to indicate that they need to select a running back, not discounting that he’s a very good prospect, with the 4th pick to improve the running game is a little flawed. Top offensive lines have top running games. Top offensive lines with top backs have great running games. Mediocre offensive lines will more than likely yield a mediocre rushing attack. Will the upgrade at RB help, yes. But the amount of money you will be paying for that upgrade it seems would be better spent on drafting offensive line there and signing a top FA RB if this teams main goal is to help Cam Ward by improving the running game. Neither of these options are what I would do at 4 but this is just pertaining to the post.
