  1. Superstar game from Scottie. He’s our starting point guard going forward – changes everything for the better. Roster makes way more sense with him at point, IQ offball at sg and suddenly it fixes our 3pt issues.

  2. I can’t ignore the number of assists Scottie has had over the past five games, including the games Quickley has missed. Let Scottie handle the ball as the lead initiator. Imagine how effective Quickley would be if his main role were sinking threes.

  3. It is good that you mentioned that BI and Scottie play at different speeds… But I think Scott as the main man with the ball still helps. You realized the tempo change, you don't think he has? I say give him the ball and let him figure it out there as well He is our SMARTEST lead initiator we have, he will figure out how to mesh them.

  4. NBA Chev doesn't use videos on his channel cus he's honest. He isn't broken the copyright laws. He just talk. He easily could do the same you're doing. So, you're pausing your videos, trying to make fans believe it's cus you want to analyze it. No. That's cus you know by pausing it you think you'll not violate the copyright. You're stealing money for from the people you owe it.
Go pay those copyrights to whoever you need to. Also, it doesn't look that good the fact you work for Sportnet on the side line……be careful not to shoot yourself on the foot…….🤡🤡🤡🤡

  5. I don't know why it took this long for this coaching staff to figure out that Scottie with the ball is our best option and IQ spacing the floor off-ball. This isn't rocket science. Ofc we still ultimately need a lead guard in the future, but right now Scottie running point makes the most sense. I couldn't stand watching another game where RJ, Shead or IQ took like 16 seconds just to get into the action only for them to take a bad shot. ALSO please for the love of god, can we just play AJ Lawson and Alijah Martin. They deserve REAL minutes. They're better players than Gradey and even Battle. They always play hard, can knock down 3s and play defense.

  6. Thanks again Es! Yes, a small sample but such a deep transformation it is hard not to get excited. Scottie being the initiator and setting the pace and tone is the key and the easiest and most direct way to do that is as point guard. The amazing thing is that when he drives the train everyone gets on board. Hard defense, running the floor then moving and passing getting good shots and attacking the basket. Everyone thrived on it and the Magic didn't know what to do with it. It wasn't just that the Magic (a + 500 team) had a bad night, they were driven off their game by the Raps' onslaught. Every player that came out on the floor was swept up in the enthusiasm and the fun. They were all sweating and smiling. The Mamu-Poeltl pairing worked well again. Shed, Walter, Lawson (always one of my favs) Martin all stepped because of the style of play and Scottie's leadership. So, yes, let's look at this phenomena for a few more games but I at least am optimistic that this is a real change, a real epiphany.
I think that IQ, CMB, Battle, will get on board quickly. Ingram remains the wild card. It is his addiction to playing ISO that slows down his game and everyone else's. It also allows the defence to double and box him in. It stops all movement and passing and makes for difficult shots and passes. I hope that Darko can find a way to incorporate him with Scottie's system rather than having the whole team adjust to Ingram and lose their momentum. He is a great player let's see if he can be a great adapter and fit. 42!GO RAPS!

  7. 2 comments tonight. As for who plays for the 905 vs the Raps, it depends on who is out. As much as I enjoy G League games, the Raps have to take priority. If there is even a small chance for Lawson or Martin to win a roster spot with either the Raps or another NBA team they have to go. TJD, Mogbo, Fultz can hold the fort.

  8. I was wondering what are the chances players like Lawson or Martin Break in the rotation, they seem like really good young tough defenders who can shoot. Kinda reminds me of an OKC archetype. Also do you think Scottie can become a true ISO player? I feel he is so big and athletic but hasn’t used it to his full advantage yet.

  9. @Es are you hinting raptors are better off without a ball dominant ingram who takes touches from everyone. and its likely better to sell high on ingram and get a first round pick or two, rather than pay ingram 55-60 million a year for 4 years. ingram isnt gonna give toronto any discounts on his last big contract, and if he has to take less, he will leave toronto for a warm city with no state income tax.

  10. It's fun to watch the Raptors play something besides "get BI the ball (then get doubled)”.

Looking forward to see if Scottie trains hard on the off season to upgrade his dribble ball handling package to truly take on The Point Scottie role. Looks like he's already been working on it to get more comfortable with the ball, but there's a fair bit of work to be done.

  11. Only one game but AJ should move ahead of Grady in the pecking order. Didn’t see much out of MF, maybe because the game had already been broken wide open.

  12. The thing is, I fully believe once IQ is back, Darko will make him the point guard again and Scottie will be back to standing in the corner. I don’t get it
