What makes you think its not?
Having Matt there as a resource for Penix to rely on is going to be a game changer for his development as a QB. Whether he’s ready physically or not we shall see but mentally Penix should be tracking everything he needs to do to remain QB1 when he’s back at full health.

Well yeah we have an injury prone 1st round lefty QB that can cook (in theory) when he’s not injured… they’re the same. Let it be a competition.
They really wanted to show originally that Matt is President of Football, not a QB coach, but there is no doubt in my mind that him being there is definitely going to be good for developing QBs like Penix regardless.
They are both gonna be starting at some point this season.
Penix won’t be able to participate fully in the off-season, and Tua will end up concussed eventually.
Current staff has nothing tied to Penix so they’ll play best player.
