Wasn’t that the original helmet when the franchise was first introduced?
This clip looks like its from the announcement of the team name and logo from 2000. Probably just a part of the video showing the teams 25 year history rather than a teaser of a new helmet. That said they showed a white helmet at this event and we have never had one so I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if the rivals uniforms have one.
Fun fact, Madden 2002 had those helmets for the Texans
Unless I’m mistaken about what we can/can’t do with our “Rivalries” uniform, it’s certainly within the realm of possibility. It would a neat throwback to the uniform that never was; I’d welcome it.
