  1. > Shout out to that one motherfucker here who said “with my luck, Merill homer and Padres lose 3-2” LMAOOO fucking prophet

    lisan al gaib

  2. **Positive Padres Points**

    * Jake sees, Jake slides, Jake slings (flashy defense in the 2nd)
    * Walker walks through first two (felt like some solid, efficient pitching if you stopped watching after the 2nd)
    * Peralta pitches perfectly (3 batters up, 3 batters down)
    * David deals in double duty (2 IP, 0 ER, good lookin pitches)
    * Marinaccio manages multiples too (2 IP, 0 ER)
    * Merrill Madness makes 2026 debut! (put that in the clubhouse water cooler and pass the cups around)

  3. The 9th would have been a decent time for Tatis and Machado not to have their typical disinterested quitter at bats but it was too high leverage of a situation for that I guess

  4. Not ideal and frustrating. But, season isn’t over. Nothing is finished. Our guys are still good, just a rough start.

Glad Jackson got one. On to tomorrow.

  5. Sucks we lost BUT that Jackson Merrill homer was amazing, reminds me we are still early in the season and bats are warming up. See yall tomorrow

  6. Buehler didn’t even perform that badly compared to several of the other pitcher blowups from today. But a lot of guys are just colder than the Giants’ bats everyone’s been making fun of for the last few days.

I know it’ll never happen, but I want Manny and Laureano swapped in the order. I’m getting tired of Manny’s no-hustle schtick.

  7. Tatis and Manny are not playing as hard as they were playing in WBC. Motivation is gone.

  8. Man I’m not high on Tatis at all and it hurts to say that. He’s been considered a perennial MVP candidate and he looks absolutely lost at the plate. Same with Manny. If they keep playing like this… oh boy

  9. This isn’t a lineup problem. This is an approach problem. Some of the most uncompetive at bats these first 4 games ive seen (besides loreano and bogaerts). They aren’t grinding at bats and they’re whiffing at very bad out of the zone pitches. Hopefully they adjust or this is going to get ugly

  10. I just REALLY hope that at some point Fernando and Manny start to play more consistently like the superstars we’re paying them to be. It’s bad enough that I feel almost nothing when Tatis is up to bat. Hope they figure it out.
